Im a 30mill sp pilot thinking of going into C6 WH's. I was wondering what kind of ship is best for taking on the uber rats in there (i forget their name) I intend to join a WH corp but I just want to get ready first.
Is it bs, hacs or T3?

First, Wrong section.
Second, Sleepers.
Third, best is a matter of opinion and context.
Best for in the hole they live in is a BS for sheer DPS. Best when moving into statics and beyond would be T3. Reason for this is if 10+ players starting going around in BS back and forth through holes the mass limit will go down fast.
I live in a C5 and don't think I have seen anyone use a HAC, probably due to the fact they have less ehp and less dps then T3?
But ultimately it comes down to what the corp want.

I would say T3s all the way... the crazy tanked bling bling faction/complex fitted all the way type of T3 :p

Edited by: Traska Gannel on 16/09/2010 14:33:13 Just a suggestion ... before going into any C6 WH ... do some more research and reading on the forums. Most of what you need to know is out there.
One tip though, although I have not run a C6 sleeper site myself, my understanding is that success depends on remote reps and a lot of them. Your best bet is to find the WH corp you are interested in and ask them what they want for their C6 WH fleets.

Whatever the C6 Corp tells you to bring.
Since C6 Sleepers will require gang tactics you will have to fly whatever fits in their approach. No reason to brong a shield tanked ship when they all fly armor tanked with guardian support.
Join the corp and let them tell you what they want you to bring, as you are not going to be doing any C6 sites solo.

Almost always, armour tanked BS's are the way to go, either RR or with Logi support. T3's can work well as a utility ship; salvaging on the go, giving gank link bonuses, etc. etc. while also providing a bit of damage, but a fleet of T3's would not fare well in a C6 combat site. The DPS simply isn't there, not without suicidally compromising your tank.

Really? I think some major W-Space corps would disagree with this. I know of several that use exclusively buffer tanked armor T3's with Guardian support. I don't think they have any problem with DPS and ship losses.
In fact they frown upon BS's at all due to their lack of speed and bloated mass.

My fellow alliance corp (SPLU) tend to use a variety of both t3 and battleships (with carrier support). It seems to work well, and the only reason people prefer to bring fewer battleship is due to the higher mass it has.
If you're looking for more experience in wormhole space, KAIRs is a really great place to start (plenty of low-sp characters). And if you find you really enjoy WH-life, you can move up to our sister corp (SPLU) who run C6s.
As far as i'm aware, Nightmares and Machariels can do more DPS than a T3, which is the primary reason these get brought. ----------------------

That, basically. For a C6 that you live in, BS's all the way, but if you plan on farming your statics then downgrading one or two of them to T3's might be an idea. But until someone shows me evidence to the contrary I refuse to believe that a fleet of T3's can do a C6 site efficiently.
fakeedit: Unless there were about 15 or so of them, in which case you be better off (ISK per hour-wise) Splitting up and doing lesser class sites in smaller groups.

A 5-6 man remote rep tengu gang farms c6 anomalies pretty a-ok. It's not optimal but its something to do. Honestly, capital escalations waves are your friend and it's where a significant portion (40-60%) of the money is made, but that usually means they are limited to your home system only.
