I bought the skill yesterday to test it. I trained it to lvl 2 but finally I concluded that it doesn't seem very useful, even in big ammount orders (like raw planetary materials or minerals). And it's a pain in the ass when you mix buy orders for low cost items with buy orders for ships.
I don't know how many users have suggested about adding a menu to select the % of the escrow you want to put into it, based in your Margin Trading skill. But I will suggest it again.
PLEASE CCP, ADD THAT MENU |

Look at the "My Orders" page of market. Notice at the bottom, "Additional ISK to Cover" under "ISK in Escrow". If all of your buy orders were hit instantly, that is how much ISK would be taken out of your wallet.
If you don't like the way Margin Trading works, then don't set up any more buy orders if that number approaches your wallet ballance.

Why would you ever want to block more ISK in the market than you need to ? _________________ WTS POS BPOs |

Because if I change my mind and decide to trade ships, for example (higher costs, higher margins, but undetermined time to buy) I need a lot of cash at all times in my wallet. And it's more difficult to measure if you have many ISK pending due to margin trading.
Yes, I know, i'll set as buy orders as I can if the ISK pending is equal or lower than my current ISK in my wallet, but it's more complicated than have the 100% escrow at all times (for cheaper goods that are sold by billions is more useful, because the buy orders are rarely fulfilled at once)
Well, I'll try to adapt myself to the effect of this skill, I can't do anything else.

If you had bothered to read Shoogie's reply, you'd know that's bullocks.

Maybe I'm being unnecessarily rude, but this basically reads, "I don't like margin trading because I'm lazy and/or stupid." --------------- Faction-Militia:Player-Alliance::Newbie-corp:Player-corp |
