Loyal citizens of the Empire, God-fearing commanders of the faithful, defenders of purity!
Inspired by the our glorious past, obliged by the faith in the Lord and authorised by the Praetorian Guard, on which behalf I speak, I have written and present you the ôBook of Prayer and Devotions for the Reclaimerö. It is my humble hope that this booklet shall serve as a small help for the reclaimers and the faithful, that it shall elevate their spirits, for God is with us.
The rebellious hordes of Matar maintain that the Empire has lost faith in victory, that we are tired of fighting. Some within the Empire maintain that the loss of Providence has been the final stab-in-the-back for Operation Deliverance. Some propose it is time for negotiations and armistice. Some even dare to question that we are His chosen people. Some add actions to their treacherous and blasphemous words and cooperate with the enemy. All in the name of freedom and progress.
But let us assure you that we are not deceived by those pretences to ôfreedom.ö We have seen the blasphemous, the traitors and the collaborators before. By abandoning the path of the righteous and god-fearing, by abandoning every value except the will to power, they follow the path of the cursed and defeated. And they will follow that path all the way, to where it ends: In the universeÆs unmarked grave of discarded lies.
We are a people awakened to danger and called to defend our faith. Our grief has turned to anger, and anger to resolution. The call of the reclaiming illuminates our hearts and souls and in service to God, Empire and Empress we take our weapons to reclaim what is ours and convert the world. Whether we bring our enemies to justice, or bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done. ôBy His light, and His willö
May the ôBook of Prayer and Devotions for the Reclaimerö ignite your hearts and souls! May it assure you of our ways! We shall thank the Lord, we shall sing Him songs, we shall offer Him victories and triumphs as oblations of eternal gratitude and love. It shall remind us always that without God there is nothing, and not a single thought can be thought without him, not a single victory can be celebrated if it is not His will and by His clemency and graciousness! Not by abandoning our way of life we will be victorious, but by restoring the traditions of the Empire! God is testing us, we shall not fail, for the sinner will be reduced to nothing!
Amarr Victor!

I'll have to re-read it again, later, but it was certainly an interesting read. Books of this sort are always useful for reminding us of key scriptures, which can be called on in times of need or just for quiet contemplation. I'm sure there are pilots of the lesser races who will be vocally against such a publication, but there will certainly also be pilots who will find solace in these pages.
Well done.

Edited by: Rodj Blake on 20/09/2010 14:30:46 I really hope that the mention of Zaragram refers to Zaragram I and not Zaragram II.
I also consider the reference to St Tetrimon to be inappropriate.

Dear Admiral Blake,
I appreciate every brother in the Lord who expresses his concern about the purity of our faith and its doctrines. I therefore thank you for raising this issue. I am certainly aware that in 22762 His Majesty promulgated that the Order of St. Tetrimon should henceforth be forbidden. At the same time I can only be surprised and ask if you question the legitimacy of the beatification of St. Tetrimon? Have I overlooked a decree? Has the Theology Council changed its policy? There have always been enemies of the faith referring to it. That alone doesnÆt change its truthfulness.
At the same time the imperial succession is considered undisputed. It is not only historical but also licit to mention Emperor Zaragram II for it was by His Will that he became Emperor.

It's just that it seems somewhat odd to me that out of the hundreds of Emperors that have sat on throne you would choose to honour someone as reviled as Zaragram II

After reviewing Rodj Blake's linked datafile (I'd never heard of this emperor, which seems less surprising having read about him), I can only assume, then, that every now and then God needs to set up an object lesson.
Of course, how effective is object lesson if you all but erase it from history?

My dear Admiral,
of course the Name of His Majesty Zaragram II is clouded by bad fame todayùbut who are we to judge an Emperor? The ôBook of Prayer and Devotions for the Reclaimerö has not been written to honour His Majesty Zaragam II alone. It serves to honour the Lord and All His Holy Disciples, All His Holy Martyrs and All His Holy Saints. When I, humbled and prostrated, ask for their intercession I do it in the ardent hope of salvation and deliverance, not in the spirit of a political or historical lesson. We are Amarr and God is with us!

Saint Tetrimon was beatified and granted his sainthood for murdering Zaragram II.

Well done cousin!
This is a truly inspired work.
As for the debate regarding Saint Tetrimon and Zaragram II, I believe it is important that we learn the lessons of this history and not concentrate on the negative aspects.

Two thousand years ago a nobleman gets beatified as St. Tetrimon, but today Tetrimon houses are seized. Two thousand years ago Council of Apostles holds the religious power, and condemns Zaragram II , but today the power is back to Emperor's family, and there is no Council of Apostles. Now if we say Council of Apostles were right to act as Empire's spiritual leaders, we need to condemn the Emperor's family for taking that power from them after the moral reforms. And if we say the Emperor's family was right in their doing, then we need to condemn Council of Apostles for what they had done to Zaragram II. No good comes from it either way, except letting the ghosts of the past haunt today.
Empire has many enemies outside. They are not only enemy to the Emperor's family, but also enemy to our religion. We are facing the danger of losing today, while trying to decide whom we should have condemned yesterday. If there are cracks in a house, the house can't hold itself together. Lets devote ourselves staying together in the name of God.
May Blessings Be With You Priest Amarr

Priest Amarr,
you speak the truth, my friend! I have the impression that through some cracks in the wall of our house, that you described so vividly, the smoke of evil has entered the temple of God. There is doubt, incertitude, disquiet, dissatisfaction, confrontation. There is no longer trust of the Empire; instead some trust the first profane prophet who speaks in some journal or some social movement, and they run after him and ask him if he has the formula of true life... Doubt has entered our consciences, and it entered by windows that should have been open to the light.
But you speak the truth. I pray that it will be heard. May God bless the Faithful and grant them eternal salvation!

The Emperor Family is an institution that was formed in the Moral Reforms. The lines of Emperors that came after the Council of Apostles come from a wildly different society than those that came before. Supporting the current order does not in and of itself mean you support the old order of emperors such as Zaragram II without question. -----

One way or another these are our Emperors. Do you realize that we keep dividing ourselves into more sects while unification is our true strenght. We have a strong customs and rich history. These can bring us together or they can create never ending conflicts. We can't afford these conflicts in today's universe.
I was in my hermitage in an unknown system. I have spent long time alone there away from the Empire. When I came back, I found out that CVA was defeated, and Amarrian borders were lost. Perhaps you may think it has got nothing to do with the current subject, but they are all interconnected. I don't see Amarrians coming together for a crusade in the name of Empire regardless of the sects and alliances they belong to. It is an example, a sign that we can't get together in the name of God, under the flag of Empire.
Perhaps what this Book of Prayers is trying to achive is encouraging people to pray the same God regardless of their support to the current line of Emperors or the Emperors of ancient times, and regardless or their support to Theology Council or the Council of Apostles. And I know if you bothered walking into this hall for speaking your mind you care about these things. And when you care, I care, and he cares, the borders between us are lifted. Then We can all come together, and pray.
Blessings Priest Amarr

To end all this theological confusion and bickering, I will, as comfort and solace, quote from the Holy Glyph of Them:
”Come into my little room, sayeth the Doll God, and KILL KILL KILL all the little opfers in the Doll House. KILL KILL KILL all the little eggmen, floating in space in little eggpods. So sayeth the Whisperer to the Listener it says KILL KILL KILL.” -Glyph 108-
Now you may goeth forth, my little dolls, in union, in flesh, in solace.

My spirit has rejoiced at this glorious work, Sister Odelya- it has indeed elevated it as you have hoped.
God is with us. Your work guides us in exploration of that Truth, and walks us nobly in the path of Light. Your work is as much a link to God's Glory as Empress Jamyl is a direct link to God Himself.
My Prayer now is that all Loyal Amarrians will find strength for the Truth, Justice and Peace held high by the Empire, and work steadfastly in its name, in full allegiance to Empress Jamyl and God.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to quote Tobias.. "Truth" ?? Which version of the truth would your people like to try to uphold today ??
No religion is based soley in "truth" and to claim such is more preposterous than to claim some magic sky-guy says it's okay to keep members of a species He created as slaves..

Edited by: Kat Bandeis on 20/10/2010 06:40:36 Pagan religions are tolerated only as long as they muster the blood and treasure of a people. Release your people, and see their true potential achieved. The boot on the neck merely suppresses the individual creativity and freedom of expression that all sentient beings are capable of. Your honored Holy Empress Jamyl knows this... is she willing to allow the spiritual expression of her people through true freedom of thought and deed?

I can see why the Amarrian Empire is how it is now. You people are blinded by the faith. While I am Gallente, a member of a democratic republic that welcomes all beliefs and faiths, I cannot see how you can believe in stories that were only written a few hundred years ago as holy scripture! Lets forget your current empress of this so called "Holy Empire" only managed to rise to power through her use of technology that DIRECTLY OPPOSES YOUR BELIEFS!!! I fail to see how mighty your empire is when you have suffered defeat so often. You enslave the Minmatar people, then recoil like a child from a wasp when they revolt and declare their independence. And don't even get me started on what happened with the Jovians...

Eden provides for all of her children, your books and silly words are meaningless unless you have embraced this unifying philosophy. Spirit follows science, devotion and faith intermingled with mathematics.
Your words are likes stars obscured in dust, because you have failed to heed the mystical call of star-song around you. The Amarr can never truly embrace faith in practical terms, because their pride obscures there hearts. The pride you build walls from is mortared with the lies of your leaders.
God is not testing you silly Amarr, Eden doesn't do that... you create your own problems by meddling with others, being where you ought not be and not attending the needs of your own tribes.

ôFreedom of expressionö? ôIndividual creativityö? ôUnifying philosophyö? What do the Minmatar do with those who worship God? What do the Gallente do with those who call for separation? They bomb them like they bomb theatres! Examples are legion, but they all have one thing in common: terror and intimidation are the mottoes of the so called liberals.
While the Empire gets into the news for breathtaking compositions of musicùand now a piece of literatureùthe ôfreedom of expressionö is practically nonexistent in the dysfunctional and rotten ôRepublicsö of New Eden where people like Jaken Lagos of the ôMinmatar PeopleÆs Theatreö are threatened with death.
Just enjoy taking your double moral standards for a walk! You accomplish nothing. No matter what happens, the Empire stands united and those who embrace the Lord will taste the sweet of true freedom and substantial meaning!

The Empire does indeed stand United, Proud and True against Evil, fighting for true freedom and substantial meaning.
However, those who fight for and within it remain divided, and there are those even who work to exacerbate those divisions.
Let us all embrace this Unifying work of Devotion and Prayer.
Let us all move forward as one body- Let us all embrace each and everyone who works in Duty to Empire and God, just as our Empress does herself. Let us go out and Embrace those who should look to us for salvation!
Let us Reclaim with His Embrace! Let us cast aside those who stand in the way of Unity!
