I made a spreadsheet that calculates the cost of a capital ship. It includes all the capital ships (including the jump freighters), all the capital components and all the advanced capital components (some of which have no use). It can take in account ME levels. It can take into account multiple units and tells you how much of each material you need, their cost and their volume (example, if I want to build 5 capital computer systems that has an ME of 10, it would tell me that I would need a total of 26,874.85M¦ of minerals, most of it being the trit and I would need 1,942,180 trit to build).
Additionally, each ship lists the base materials needed. That is, it lists the number of capital components needed to build the ship and it also lists the amount of minerals needed to build all of these components.
Its a Microsoft excel file, hopefully your version of excel or other program can read it.

So, like this?
Why reinvent the wheel when you do not have to? |

I invented a wheel that is better.
Wherever you went - Here you are.

But Mr. Honda, why'd you build a car? Mr. Ford has already done it so you don't have to.
But never mind that; I figured there were programs already out there that calculate the cost of ships. I even used one as a reference while making the spreadsheet. WhyÆd I make it? I started this spreadsheet to help someone out, but it quickly grew beyond that. What I didn't think was a program that also listed the base materials needed, which you quite bluntly pointed out there is one. Moreover, I have added the jump freighters, which I do not see on the linked website program. The spreadsheet does calculations on the fly, it doesn't need a calculate button to be hit for each component.
All the capital ships are also listed by their faction in one spot for an easy comparison between them. Each ship and component also have a 'sell at' cell, allowing a quick judge of profit you could make (that is, if anyone would try to sell them). This can also be used offline, but no one ever is, so that point is moot. Just don't be so quick to judge that it is a lesser wheel when you haven't even looked at it. In fact, I've learned something about the Gallente capitals from the sheet after I finished it. It isn't real apparent when you look at each ship by itself.

I, for one, found this spreadsheet layed out almost exactly the way I make mine. It is very clean, easy to understand and simple to modify the pertinent variables. |

I was about to go nuts on your spreadsheet for not allowing one to set his own prices, and then I saw your helpful little <--- "yo brah, prices that way" note =P Very, very nice spreadsheet.
