Why does CCP condone violence and merchant piracy, yet a little foul language makes some guy at the ole head office have to push some buttons?
before someone asks, I have not been reprimanded for language but I know it happens... I'll take my answer off the air

Lying, stealing, scamming, murder, destruction, betrayal, prostitutes, slavery, drugs (boosters), liquor, and cigarettes are all fine.
Cussing isn't. We simply can't have that in a family game!

Actually, CCP doesnt condone actual violence and merchant piracy. No real violence ever happens in EVE. Its a video game. Youre aware that youre not really blowing up space ships, arent you?
But, you are really using foul language. And they dont like that.
Basically, youre an idiot who takes this piracy thing a little too far.

Seriously though, the real reason is that condoning foul language on public channels is a bad idea in general. You can still order people to perform humiliating sexual favors for you in private channels and voice chat, though.

It has nothing to do with morals, censorship or being a Viking.
Eve is a teen rated game and so CCP have to deal with anything that is not teen rated.
We choose to play this teen rated game so we should not cuss, post links to sites advocating incest or any of the other stuff that good, decent parent don't want their children exposed to.
