The point being: you've selected the wrong ship for the job. Unless you plan on running high end plexes where a tengu's sig tank is required, a raven (or anything else without the kinetic-specific damage bonus) would be a better choice.
I got that point. That's why I said I was going back to the drawing board. I'm gonna use a Domi and/or a Raven. I understand I was pushing a square peg into a round hole.
It would still be nice to see a Tengu fit that "the experts" agree on is generally a good fit for those high end plexes. You know, something that could be used in a Guristas/Serpentis plex.
You said it yourself. Square peg, round hole. The thread was helping you solve your baseline problem (what caldari ship for ratting and plexing the rats you listed) and you're insiting on hearing about a specific ship which does not fit the bill.
Imagine for a moment someone asked you "What material can I use to make an effective kite? I think i'm going to use lead pipes." And you responded "lead is generally impractical for kite construction, I suggest you use plastic or some other light-weight material instead." If the person continued to insist "but i'd like to know how to fasion a kite with lead..." what would you say to them?
Sure, you can probably engineer that lead kite that works on some level, but that's not what you were asking for in the first place. You wanted to know what made an effective kite.
While yes, the OP started by requesting information on a particular ship to do a particular job, it didn't seem like they were particularly set on that ship, and were always open to suggestions.
Also, the Tengu is a very effective PVE ship, so assuming it would be one of the best options (due to flexibility/ease of transport among other things) isn't a terrible thing, and certainly doesn't deserve a response equating wanting to fly a Tengu to building a kite out of lead.
EDIT: Back on topic, I also would be interested in seeing a good Tengu fit for Serpentis plexes.
