I was told that i should post this ideal by gm mehendri
I lost a ship a couple of days ago and cargo having about 700 million in it, all i was doing was coming out of station and this other ship targeted me and begin firing he did get destory too by station guns, anybody should be able to insure the ship and cago for any price they need and lengh of time so i petitioned it and my response back was Hi,
We have investigated the loss of your Bestower and it appears that your ship was lost during a normal combat action in Dodixie. Although you were in high security space, this doesn't guarantee your safety and another player may attack you if they wish. Of course they would suffer the consequences of their actions by attracting the attention of CONCORD and station security so would in turn be destroyed themselves, but CONCORD do not arrive immediately nor do the sentry guns fire at once and if you can't tank the damage then unfortunately you may be destroyed before your attacker can be killed. In this case CONCORD and Gallente Navy sentry guns killed the Tempest and the pilot received a hit to his security status for his crimes, but because your ship was lost in normal combat we're afraid that we can't reimburse you on this occasion.

Thanks for getting back to us with your suggestion for having an insurance system for the cargo as well as the ship. This would be the most effective way for you to get your suggestion aired and to most likely gain support from other pilots that transport high value goods, but have had problems with attacks in high sec space.

Welcome to Eve, all completely legitimate tactics.
He took the risk to shoot you, loosing his ship in the process for gaining your valuable cargo.
Not sure why you would petition that.
You both paid a price, yours was just much worse.

And if you had 700 mill you cant be new to eve..and should know that Dodixie isnt the best place to be hauling that kind of isk around.I smell a troll,anyone else smell it?

Yeah it's a hard lesson to learn and I sympathize but THAT is the defining difference between other MMOs and this one, one I'd rather not lose.

OP, you were in a Bestower carrying 700mil worth of cargo? What the heck were you thinking?
You NEVER EVER put anything that valuable in a T1 hauler. You weren't just asking. You were screaming to be shot.

Here is a thought....
Let the industrialist/carebears invest in the police structures of Empire. Build a security hub on a station and always have a Concord presence.
The hub could be named Dunkin Space Donuts.
The additional presence disallows cargo scanning.
Level 1 = 2 extra sentry guns
Level 2 = 1 Concord Captain, 2 Sargents and 4 patrollers
Level 3 = 2 additional sentry guns
Level 4 = 1 Concord Colonol, 2 Captains, 4 Sargents and 8 patrollers
Level 5 = Concord Marshall. Criminals are NOT allows to dock in station.
Now the pirates can blow up the Donut Shop and Concord will operate normally.

just think of it make it so u can't get pop in high sec if u dont firer back but the aggrestor get pop or be able to buy insurance to cover the lost from being pop, hmm isurance scams, maybe can't get poped in hight sec is better

All I can say is that there are haulers that are a bit more difficult to destroy than a Bestower. An Impel wouldn't go down quite so fast, and the station turrets might have had time to take out your attacker. More likely he just wouldn't have been stupid enough to attack an Impel in high sec.

Now that would create a new profession: profesional popper.
Modus operandi:
1) Get ibis (or any kind of rookie ship, put complementary 1xtritanium in hold
2) Insure it for 1B ISK
3) Pop it
4) Goto 1)
Even if you could insure up to ship + cargo mineral cost someone would find it lucrative to liquidate mods instead of refining / trading them.
Modus operandi:
1) Get a T1 industrial
2) Fill it with mods you would otherwise refine
3) Insure it (say price is 30% of mineral value of mods packed)
4) Pop the industrial, if it loots 30% of stuff back - you even profit
5) Goto 1)
Do you see the problems with that request and how actually bad it is?

How did you amass 700 mil of stuff and have never heard of or seen a suicide gank? Happens at all the trade nubs, happens at the mission hubs. even happens on belts. did you plex your first week or is this a troll?
3/10...least you mentioned station guns and a ship getting blown up if a troll.
If you plexed....stop doing that. Make your money the long way and learn to play the game better lol.
