I just got a Nostromo n52 gamepad from someone, and I'm trying to get it to work with EVE. I saw several forum posts saying people are using them, so i'm hoping that CCP hasn't changed policy on them. I can get it to respond to other programs (tested in notepad), but it is not having any effect once I launch EVE. Does anyone who has one have a solution for me, or am I out of luck and CCP locked them down?
Thanks

I had problems with it in Windows 7 64-bit, with everything. I want to say the drivers don't work in Windows 7, but I haven't tried it in anything else.
As for the EULA, it's still legal to use them.

I use mine daily with Windows 7 64 bit.
Setting it up properly is the issue you are running into.

Did the drivers work right away for you, from the cd?

I don't have the Nostromo, but I have a Logitech mouse and with it you have to select the program in your hard drive if you want to customize it's behavior with the program. If this is the case for the Nostromo, you have to know that eve.exe is not the executable you need to link, instead go into the eve\bin folder and select the ExeFile.exe. Hope it helps. Wrong forum, by the way.

I have a nostromo 52 te and its working just fien with windows x64 + eve, and everything else for that matter.
Did you install both the drivers and the macro editos listed on the nostromo website?

I downloaded them from the website, lost the install disk ages ago. It worked perfectly for me, but again, I would bet you are having issues configuring the loadout manager properly.

I have the n52te on a Win XP machine and it works with Eve tolerably. However the problem I notice the most is with drone commands which may just be a drone issue. Although, I also can not get ctrl+left mouse click to function.

Thanks for the comments. I tried updating the exe I'm pointing to the one in bin, that still hasn't worked for me. Can you give me some suggestions on how I can fix the setup or where I can go for a guide. I don't see anything in the manual that I haven't done. Barnett Koster
