Ok guys here is the question:
I can fit my ship with all resistance at 80%+ with 184,000 ehp
OR
Only 80% in EM/heat/kinetic and 77.4% in explosive but gain an extra 13k ehp using a shield extender rig taking ehp to 197,000 instead of the explosive hardner rig.
Ship type is tengu. Im just interested in what people think is better in this instance - an extra 13k ehp but not all 80% resists or all 80%+ resits with a slight reduction in ehp.
The ship will be used in large fleet ops (100+)

While usually I'd recommend going for the higher resists option to make it easier for your logis, in this case the difference is so small that I think that the extra EHP is better.

I think the extra bit of EHP will be better, unless you're maby in a small gang with logistic support where you can count at.

Firstly, while good in skirmishes & small gangs, Tengu's are not ideal ships to fly in large fleet ops.
If your going to do it anyway - it depends on how good your logistical support is.
Unless your very confident about the skills of your logistical/remote rep pilots i'd recomment you go for the extra hp, though with the size of fleet your talking, it may extend your time to live by a couple of seconds.
If you have good logi pilots, then the extra resists will translate as more hp over time.

It sounds like the Tengu have enough hitpoints for logistics to catch on to it already - Question is if you expect to run into hostiles using a lot of explosive damage.
I would say I'd go for the extra buffer in 9 of 10 scenarios. not bad to have 13k extra EHP if you expect to take a punishment.
