that snot what i mean, its a simple sticky post that says we have it down for w/e reason no eta. takes few secs to write im sure someone there has those few secs. atleast something as i said i see no repsone in irc from them. and on tranw a never get responses. so its jsut not here
edit: like for example when they run there mass test get 3-5 people designate them the ones to kill those cuaseing trouble that the ccp/bh point to for the test. instead of overloading the ons running the test. but that was sjut an idea

There's no point in status updates.
Everything could be fine and the devs decide to deploy a patch. That deployment could take minutes or hours. Or days.
Just keep checking the server status from time to time if you're really itching for SiSi. It's just how it is.

And what do you think those updates are going to be? The devs will for sure not give us a rundown on all the stuff they do, so it would probably be: "Hey guys, we're doing some patching and dev testing on our testserver. CU later."
The testserver is either up and we can use it or it's down and we have to wait. The devs sure have more useful things to spend their time on than posting on the forum *why exactly* the server is down - it simply doesn't matter.

Yet again, for those unable to read:
It's Singularity. It's a TEST server. CCP has TOTALLY NO ANY obligations to you regarding it. They could just paint it pink and put on it's side. You have no rights to demand or even ask anything about it.
Gladly, CCP's are very accessible on this matter, but don't abuse this accessibility, please. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

Yes, it's a good point. A simple sticky not allowing comments just saying if the server is supposed to be running or not would avoid the spamming about patches and updates or "how to fix your Sisi client". The devs don't have any obligation on doing it, much less giving a eta (hey, it's a TEST server). But making such post and updating it every time they take the server down to work and test on it and every time it comes back up would avoid lots of unnecessary posts in the forum and would take just a few seconds.
P.S. - For the flamers and others uncapable of proper neural activity. This is NOT a demand nor even a request, it's just a SUGESTION.
Note: probably there's a couple of spelling errors as I didn't bother to check the spelling on word. If this bothers anyone, please reply to me in portuguese, I would love to see how well you write it :P

And beside this, that kind of sticky would not only save time to the people trying to use SISI... It would also help CCP to have more people on SISI (which is in their best interest). It would even save resources on CCP's server load and internet band (avoiding unnecessary download of patches and/or clients).
I wonder why on the other hand why many people here try to stop any improvement to SISI accessibility and transparency. Is it because they feel it's a kind of sancta sanctorum where only the holy can thread? Or is it simply jealousy? I hope not. --- --- ---

Yes, I know it is there, but as you also point out it's not updated, and anyone can write/conjecture on it therefore making it quite messy. It wouldn't be a big work to make it into a perfect reference thread, it would be enough to lock it and give one dev the task to write there every time they make a build change (therefore making the current patch useless), and every time they deploy the new relevant patch.
Last side note, a date-independent title wouldn't hurt either (something like "Singularity Server Status - Official thread" would be good enough). --- --- ---
