Ishtar is much better IMHO, better tank and much better DPS. That is, if you have good drone skills. Gila is even better, if you have both Caldari and Gallente cruisers 5. |

Caldari cruisers 5 isn't waste in any way, it's leading to Tengu, which is significantly better for lvl4 than Ishtar or Gila. |

Also look into an actual battleship like a Scorpion Navy Issue or a Rattlesnake if you want level 4s to be comfortable. They have the capacity to have enough buffer to stand up to a lot. |

Navy Scorp is not a great mission boat. Lowish DPS with WAY too much tank for L4's. Rattlesnake is pretty good since Inferno (drone damage mods changed the complexion of drone boat missioning).
If you are going missile boat... go for a Tengu and/or CNR. |

Ishtar is excellent for all Serp/Gurista missions with its high native kin/therm resists. With various Drone mods you can get Garde II's pushing 670+dps out to 55km optimal. You don't need a lot of tank for L4 missions since a) the ship has a small sig and b) often enough it's your drones getting aggro (which you obviously have to watch for & manage).
The thing about the 'tar is that it's very tight on CPU so drone-oriented fits can't always fill all slots. Many players feel it's plain wrong to have high slots empty. But to get the best from what is after all a Sentry platform, you have to.
The box said "Requires Windows-á2000 or better", so I installed Linux. |

anything a cerberus can do, a drake can do better and cheaper. the only exception is shooting heavy missiles out to absurd ranges but that's not exactly a valuable feat.

Swap Hardener for specific rat damage types and for easier missions you can swap a SPR for another drone damage amp. and of course depending on your skills you can change for named/faction items to fit easier or add tank etc...
