Yes, it appears to be a blatant Machariel rip-off, but since when was that a bad thing? I want this ship. I also really like the Naru-Kami. It's not necessarly a design I would usually go for, but it pulls it off really well. Another ship I would be proud as a pea** to fly. There's so many more I like, such as Aegis, Gatekeeper, Savior, and Freeborn, but I think my third pick would have to be the SunSlayer, for pure bad-assery. If Darth Vader played EVE, that would be his ship. EDIT: You censor 'pea**', CCP? Like, srsly?

The amount of detail put into #2 plus the fact that poor Caldari needs more symmetrical ships makes it epic, #1 is just funny, and #3 almost seems Jovian in my humble opinion. Oorestes Amarr Lights in the Sky	Posted - 2010.09.30 16:32:00 - [14] I couldn't find the one I liked the best but it was the Amarr one that sort of looked like a flying eye. At any rate I am very much enjoying this contest. For a person like myself who has zero talent when it comes to designing and artistic rendering of ideas, it is exciting to see the imaginations of so many people taking flight. Honestly, the devs should pick a ship of each race from this contest, there are just so damn many good entries that only picking one seems like such a shame and the new ships would definitely spice up the game.

I am going to guess that you have never played X3:TC. That ship (#1) just looks like a Khaak carrier without the ugly colors and bloated hull. Otherwise I really like your #3 pick. I really hate pretty much all Minmatar ships because they're ugly as dirt (not because of their "style" but literally I think they are ugly unattractive models) but the Freeborn, god damn, that looks sexy badass and imho CCP should take some notes for when they get around to remodelling Minmatar ships. Hiro, you should revise your understanding of what art is before claiming to know what is art and what is not... You could be insulting many artists right now! :P I just hoped that more contributors to the contest actually READ the requirements and actually made ships "Appropriate for eve" rather than their dream ships or something "too" original, so much that it almost isn't a ship anymore, and even less eve material. Also... most names chosen are already eve ship names! These people don't know the game their developing their ships for! The Aquila and the Support Carriers are in my opinion the MOST eve apropriate things in there. The names and the looks are just right!
