Enemy Stealth Bombers in a wormhole system. Going too far!

Sleepy Rocker	Posted - 2010.10.01 04:24:00 - [1] Ok so I was mining away in a site and this stealth bomber called Milo warps in on top of me and his squad warped in right behind him. I warped off before they could kill me, so I still have my ship. I warped to our pos and sat there for a bit but then Milo shows up outside the pos I was hiding in and they just sat outside the shields waiting for me to kill me. After several weeks of being tormented by Milo and the his thugs we gave up and found a better wormhole to move to. So we went on a mission to move systems as covert as possible. Cloaky cloaky transports, and eventually we got our pos all set up in the new wormhole. Moving into this new wormhole was the best thing we could have done, there were many more sites to mine in and I was doing great. Or so I thought. After we were completely settled in I was mining away on a omber rock and guess who comes out of the shadow of the omber... You guessed it, Milo. He must have followed us through the wormhole when we moved. We tried to be so careful! Weeks on end, YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! He never never says anything, never uncloaks, and he is always following me. PLEASE HELP!

Here is some advice: If people are sitting outside your FF at your POS I'd have to ask if your defenses are setup properly? Granted they could be sitting out of range. I don't know. Second, when we first moved to our hole our POS setup screamed NOOB and we came under extortion attempts several times within the first month. We spent a lot of time reading about POS defense modules and their setups, bought more, rearranged their placement and so far, 2 months later, no more extortion attempts. We had a cov-ops in our system for almost one month before we completed our changes. Everyday the cloaker would chide us and attempt to extort. After the changes were completed the cloaker left. You can determine if a cloaker is still in your system. If you know who it is then go to empire to a locator agent that you have access to and run a query on his/her location. If you don't have one, get one of the highest agent quality possible. Their quality determines how far out they search to find whomever. My agent can find people even in wh's. Use Dotlan maps to determine the number of jumps in/out of your system. This will give you some idea of the numbers of people coming through. Manage your WH's. If you have no need to travel outside of your wh system then when you scan down a new wh DO NOT WARP TO IT. As long as you do not warp to a new wh it will not open an exit to where ever it leads. Those that are open, close them. This is trick and requires you know how much mass can travel through the WH's that you identify. For instance a A239 will allow a BS to traverse it about 19-20 times before it collapses. Be prepared to be trapped on the otherside so fit probes and a cloak so you can find a way out. Hope this helps. BTW, if you're interested we are looking for additional members to our WH corp. If you guys are having a tough time of it we'd be willing to take on, as members, one or more of your people to train with us or incorporate your corp into our own. As long as nobody scans for new wormholes they dont pop up? How do you determine if a wormhole is open without warping to its sig and having a look where it leads?

If it's just keeping a bomber away you'd be better off in an interceptor. Even if it's the bomber leading a gang in at least the ceptor might has a chance of killing the bomber and get out. Are you sure you're ready to be playing in wormholes?

For this a sensor boosted Myrm with a long point, and a Dual Reppair tank. Add a Nuets and if you can medium Autocannons and Warrior II's! It's untest and isn't designed for moving but if the bomber falls for it, comes in for the bombing run then tries to get a disrupt on you you may be able to oneshot it, the blasters should still do damage at around 35km with my skills though will losts of misses and poor damage but bombers are pretty fragile. Personally I think there are better bait ships but not sure many bombers would expect a brutix to be much of a problem. Still an interesting exercise in theory crafting. You need a few small guns, as fast frigates can speed-tank medium guns (heck, a fast cruiser can too). I recommend 2 to 4 each of short range and long range. Lasers on an Amarr type tower, and projectiles on all other types of towers. Don't use missiles or hybrids on any POS. It takes about 10 seconds for a faction small AC to lock a SB. Buy some. Don't expect a web or warp scrambler to do anything, as it takes about a minute to lock a frigate with one, in which time the small turrets have already destroyed the ship. Pods are about the only thing I wouldn't bother trying to lock with a POS battery.
