i have a xps m1710 that has the dell quickset program that lets me fiddle with the lights built-in to this machine. i have heard that eve can interact with these lights. but i can't seem to make it work like it's suppose to. i have it working with music but not that game. can't seem to find anything about this in the forums or on the internet at all for that matter. help please

Eve has support for AlienFX. Until you purchase 5 or 6 of these Dell laptops and send them to the developers don't bet on getting support for it. The fact that Dell owns Alienware probably has nothing to do with similarities in support with the way things work these days.

Quick, we need another patch!
They added these christmass tree lights support to eve in the patch, then they had problems and made it possible to disable.
Patchertisements FTW!
Check the command line switches to enable it, it may be off by default.
PS: XPS is not a good laptop for gaming, look at ASUS and their 16" Republic of Gamer machines, the G60's
ASUS are built like a rock of granite.

i'm guessing your talking about the in-game graphics & display options?
PS: it's much nicer then a HP pavillion plus i stumbled upon this laptop for free :D

If this patch only adds support for the lights in this laptop then we are screwed and I expect eve to be down for months after its released.. Bundle it with something important so the servers will at least stay up.
