OK I'm looking for a good mouse.
First it must be wired, I've been using a wireless mouse and I'm sick of the extra weight.
Obviously it must be ergonomic (though i doubt the term means much these days).
I'll be using it primarily for EVE, but I'll be doing shooters as well.
Also it must have a button close to the thumb.
Any recommendations? What are you currently using? and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Personally, I'm a big fan of the Logitech G500.
Not sure if it's ergonomic, but for a gaming mouse, it's my favorite. I've tried several others, by Microsoft (the Sidewinder series), and Razer, and they all seem insubstantial to me. -------------------

i use the G5, but i guess the G500 replaced it.

I loved my G5. But, unfortunately it broke, and I couldn't find another one to replace it. The G500 is essentially the same mouse, with a few added features. It has a third thumb button, and you can unlock the wheel and then when you flick it, it spins for a very long time. -------------------

I got an older version of Logitech for some very nice discount and it has served me very well so far. Can't remember which version (not at home right now) but it is the one with grey top.

Logitech G9x: it has TWO thumbbuttons (one for vent and one for Teamspeak lol), also it's wired
My all time favourite mouse however is the: Logitech Mouse Man Dual Optical. __________________________________________________

I bought a second mouse to "replace" my mx revolution in games, since while it was a great mouse, I was really starting to notice the lack of sensibility it has.
so, since I was a bit strapped up on cash I decided to check arround on reviews and see if there was a cheap-ish gaming mouse.
found this A4tech Oscar X7 XL-474L to be actually quite good for the low price it has.
you can even tune up its weight and it has quite the response time. ---

I use some pretty good stuffs that costs a little money, but it's worth it though.
For a mounse i use the Razer Mamba mouse. And it's really really nice. It's both wired and wireless via Bluetooth.
And for a mousepad, i use the Razer Destructor one.
So if you want the best out of the best, go for that.

I'm currently using Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 (with no extra weight) and I love it even when i gotta buy a new one cos of wear&tear I'll buy the exact same mouse.

Logitech G500 or MX518 are very good choices, though they're for right-handers only. They're very comfortable to use - I haven't had any problems whatsoever with this particular design in the last ~7 years that i've used it (the shape that is). Currently on the G500, no complaints at all.
MS Intellimouse seems to be a decent alternative as far as comfort is concerned.
Razer mice are technically more proficient, but they're also a lot harder to get used to. The mice work best with smaller hands, and even then your palm is usually not resting on the mouse. If you can give them a go in a shop i'd do that before considering buying them.
Roccat Kone seems to be a good high end mouse, but i know very little about it.
Personally i'd say, get the G500. It's got relatively decent customization options and is very comfortable to use. It may not be the "pro-gamer" option, but if you were a pro gamer you wouldn't be asking for opinions on this forum - I'd say the mouse would be perfect for you :)

I have a MX518 and I love it. It's a little too big for my childishly tiny hands, but it wouldn't be a problam if you have normal, manly hands. |

Under the advice of the forum i got the Logitech G 500 And I am loving it. Its light weight and if for some unknown reason i want it heavy, theres a way to add weight.
Love the DPI control and the wheel that can free spin or click control if you want to. Did realize it had a 2d scroll feature, but that's a plus.
Thanks for all you advice. and further more why do i even need a sig? |
