Since we can now have these magical optional patches, I propose we make Incarna optional. Why do I need a bunch of WIS crap clogging up my harddrive when I simply want to be having epic space battles? Something Eve Online used to be really good for.

Except it's not a patch, but an expansion.

Edited by: Narisa Bithon on 05/10/2010 15:03:12 the minute u make expansions optional u break this game.
ppl would all have varied cleint versions... on a single shard server that wont work.
oh and before u say "well why where the last 2 patches optional?" its cos all they change/fix is UI bugs not actual game play or ingame items that incarna will introduce.

How exactly does allowing people to walk about in stations doing nothing actually 'expand' on Eve?
It's a con while they develop some stupid vampire game and turn Eve into carebears online.
I have no intention of walking about in stations like some imbecile.

The stunning levels of uneducated idiocy that gets posted on these forums never ceases to astound me. Had you done even the slightest bit of research whatsoever into Incarna, you would know that it IS OPTIONAL.
You don't have to use it. Put this cone shaped hat on your head and remove yourself to an appropriate corner of the forums to ponder your mistakes.

Its expanding the breadth of the game. Turning it from an MMO with narrow parameters to a simulation if you will. Think the initial release of Incarna like the release of eve at the beginning. Limited activities and ways to make money. But bursting with potential for future additions to it.

OH YEAH? Well If you bothered to read my ****ing post you would see that I said I don't want that carebear crap filling up my harddrive. Of course its optional to wander aimlessly round stations, what I am proposing is that this insignificant 'expansion' be optional so I don't have to download a bunch of insulting worthless code to bloat my client.
Also if its optional why do we have to make new avatars? Avatars that look boringly homogenous and totally lacking in the existing character given. How are we meant to explain in roleplay terms that we suddenly all look the same. Maybe they should start having macdonalds and starbucks in every ****ing station too just to make sure we are all conforming and killing our cultural identities?

This isn't an error. There is nothing of importance or merit (even given that this is a videogame) that warrants so much development time on such a worthless piece of trash as WIS.
I won't thank you as you are unable to define anything worthwhile to do in stations.

Could you please go through the list of features for WIS and explain by they're of no importance or merit? ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Don't forget that while you are in a station, you are off the node. Therefore, hopefully, a little lag will be alleviated while care bears circle-jerk each other's avatars in an outpost.

Only in the realm of MMOs would people complain about the ability to get out of your space ship and walk around in a space ship simulator.
The moral of the story is obvious: MMO players will complain about anything.

God I wish I had your short sightedness and slow ******ed brain, life would be soooo much easier in a home.
It will expand the game and isn't a con while they develop a stupid vampire game. You won't have to walk around in station and get bullied like you did at school (which is why I guess you have some issues with 'carebears') but you can still shoot as many people as you want in space.
As for expanding - It will not just be wandering around in stations /hug /kiss /bow ing all over the place, thats why its taking so long and wasn't out 2/3/4 years ago...
