well, we have now an option to put the radial menu onto the middle mouse button... though I'm sure I'm not the only one that has the middle mouse button mapped to Double Click...
How about using the same method that we have for docking windows... if you press Shift or Ctrl or Alt (configurable) and click on an object, the menu shows up... if the correpsonding key is not pressed, the normal click is issued.
This would make things coherent with how window stacking is handled... there is no need to introduce the use of a new button that isn't used in any other way in the game... plus I'm sure there are people out there that only have a two button mouse...

me thinks having a 2 button action to bring the action menu up would kinda null and void the usefulness of the menu... take too long to bring it up... and if your still using a 2 button mouse..
well, $10 will get ya a 3 button optical.. i'm sure you could scrounge that up in your couch...

I guess you didn't read my post too well... I DO have a 3 button mouse but I prefer to use the middle mouse button configured as a double click...
I also don't suggest two buttons to be pressed, I am suggesting to give us the option to configure using Shift-LeftClick or Ctrl-LeftClick to open the radial menu... doesn't take longer than clicking without shift... I don't say they should remove the option to have it on the middle mouse button, just give us an additional option to use shift or control for those that either have the middle mouse button already assigned to something else or that only have a two button mouse...

I noticed how irritating that was in a complex today... I couldent get away from a hollow astriod.. coz it poped up all the time. Its so what use full but the Window for its activation IS WAY TO BIG <--- was that big egnuf..

The way you access it is fine.. if you use it. They just need to make a option on the esc menu to disable it totally.
