Hey faster than light topic followers. I thought of a new theory.
So there is only so much hydrogen on earth, it may be in the form of water or acid or gas, but the amount of hydrogen on earth doesn't increase unless it comes from space.
I was just thinking today, can those same principles be applied to energy? because if you think about it if someone did invent an OU engine wouldn't it be possible to heat up the whole earth really hot with the excess energy from an OU engine? and that just doesn't seem possible to me.

look up the big bang theory, it would provide a lot of energy.
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed.

The earth is not a closed system. It gets new energy from outside its sphere of influence daily. We mainly call it sunlight, a enormous amounts of energised particles that add more energy to our system. To compensate, the earth loses energy to the surrounding space in the main form of heat.
There are a vast array of theories about the energy balance when seen universe- or galaxywide. Most commonly known is the one predicting a 'heat death' of the entire universe as it keeps expanding and distributing its limited energy supply over a greater area, causing a slow deterioration towards homogenous energy and warmth distribution.
Heat death would be a term which is a bit misplaced. Cold death would make more sense at first glance since any relatively homogenous distribution of the finite energy supply would result in a temperature that is quite low. Alot lower then we can spport ourselves in.
But of course, the whole discussion is probably even more theoretical and unproven then those about lightspeed and time dillation. _______________________________________________
