Looking for some software which can display exchange rates only. I will add the rates manually
Problem is that excel, for example, does a bad job in full screen mode. A lot of excel stuff is still visible. All that office suite seems not be good to show a single page without frame. Is there any template, software...etc which just displays one page with currency rates? I tried publisher and PowerPoint and I am not happy with it.
Any idea how to do it that it looks professional but its easy to edit?

Edited by: Cat o''Ninetails on 08/10/2010 14:02:01 well you could make an html page with some javascript or any other dynamic web format
what is the purpose of this application it sounds limited tbh lol

edit: actually you didn't really have any specifications so i guess what you are looking for is called a list?

Yea what your asking for is kinda confusing. Your pretty much saying you want something with current currency exchange rates. You don't specify whether it should be self updating or what. And at any rate like above poster said a fairly basic webpage can do this. Or if you want an executable or something maybe make a self updating form / query / report in MS Access or something.
But you said you've been using excel / powerpoint / publisher. So obviously its just a plain list. If you can't make one in publisher to your liking then there may be something wrong. You can pretty much design a page however you want.

my first line says:
I will add the rates manually
secondly: You can make a lot in publisher but you can not display it in FULL screen.

its a simple list with flags of currency but I need it to be displayed in fullscreen on a 32-40inch screen. If you think it should be easy, please let me know.
I do not want to use MS OFFICE software

you dont want to use office software, then use Open Office. But if you were to use publisher, just publish it as a web page. open it in your browser, hit F11, if its still not fitting on your screen hold the control button and mouse scroll down or control - if you dont have a scroll mouse.

Is it really necessary to insult me because I ask a simple question?

Wasn't really an insult, more of a commonly used phrase. KISS, keep it simple stupid. Use it to keep yourself from over complicating simple matters.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KISS_principle
"While popular usage translates is as 'Keep it simple, stupid', Johnson translated it as 'Keep it simple stupid', and this reading is still used by many authors.[4] There was no implicit meaning that an engineer was stupid; just the opposite."

i recommend ms paint.
Just create the image with the same pixel size as your screen, and show it in fullscreen mode.

I bought a 40inch TV screen to display the exchange rates. Paint cant be used as the exchange have to be updated several times a day.
But thanks for something contructive á Absolution Prorator Impel Vengeance T2 mods/Drones/Ammo Manufacturer
