CCP's biggest fear....one day the top 50 alliance members are going to realize what actual power they have and come together to make CCP fix common issues.
A little math....according to Dotlan, the top 50 alliances account for 79,244 members - while there's multiple chars on one paying account - many alliance members also have multiple accounts out of alliance so for the sake of argument lets just say it's a wash -
78,244 members ....that's $1,188,660 USD revenue per month and over $14,263,920 USD revenue per year.
That's right girls - 50 alliance leaders essentially contol a significant amount of CCP's revenue
Want lag fixed......? Screw the "council" YOU are the power block. Your members have voted by joining your alliance -
Personally, I'm getting tired of trying to play an unplayable game. The third "optional" patch fiasco really demonstrates CCP isn't focused on anything else but the next release.
I've never seen a company treat their best customers so badly and continue to prosper.

Sometimes when I have been drinking, I come up with ideas such as these. With age I have learned to write them down and review them if/when I am sober. I will then post the thoughts if I am in agreement with my drunk/sober selves. It's helped out considerably with slowly improving my coherentness (sic) in responding to internet spaceship related threads.
Try it, I know you'll like it. I just wish I had the same self control with irc and voice comms.

If micro transactions go through, you can expect to see this happen. That is assuming we don't all rage quit in disgust.
And you dont even need 50 alliances, if the top 10 wanted to, we could suicide gank everything possible in any trade hub. Could you imagine the tears if jita was blockaded for a week?

I would love to see that, well, I would love even more to do that! I remember when I was newish and some major alliances locked jita down and killed everyone. I died 2x undocking. Made the game much more fun tbh.

Vuk Lau for CSM!!! This is a man that wont back down from making the real issues public .... and as if CCP could control you from entering a country, they arent the Icelandic Mafia .. are they??? CCP just need to realize that their current platform isn't working and adding more weight (Incursion) isn't going to fix anything.
Perhaps talking to the users of their product more and letting us know what they think the issue is. ANYTHING can be done when its digital, sometimes you just need more eyes on the prize.
Been playing for a long time CCP, and wish to continue playing. But I will not pay for a broken product.

Nice concept. but very hard to force members to stop subsription to a game they want to play. CCP knows all about this issue, CSM has aswell put this forward on multiple times.
Sisi testing has been done to look at lag and effects from this feature implemented by CCP. So im sure by now they will be looking at this issue further.

Of all of the meth-amphetamines in RL, I would recommend 3,4 methylenedioxy methamphetamine, but be sure to preload with 5-Hydroxytryptophan ("5HTP" in health food stores). It helps with the hangovers when serotonin is exhausted and dopamine is leeched. When dopamine is leeched it can cause the MDMA hangovers, which is not very much fun according to empirical evidence.I will admit I haven't taken Organic Chemisty in quite some time, so accept this recommendation from a concerned ISS adversary with the hopes that you practice safe escapism.

The answer is easy.....INVEST in the hardware that it's going to take to run a game like eve. You can only fiddle with the code so much ya know.
And doing it right will take a jita node in every system. Wax on Wax off |

So you know this for a fact? How much do you know about the relative benefit you gain from improving hardware over improving software? Take for example a simple list sorting, done naievely takes n2, done well approaches n*log(n), for a large n regardless of what hardware you run it on n*log(n) on a slow maching >>> n2 on a fast machine.
They have and are improving the hardware but most of the large improvements will coem from improved software also, there isn't another platform like EVE. They can't look and see what the other guys did because they are the first and pretty much the only people trying to solve the issues they are solving, there has NEVER been a game like Eve before. That said CCP should fix lag in the next patch because they can and are just being tight wads.
{EDIT} There are atleast 2 obvious errors that I willl not correct but wanted to point out that I saw them.

The game works ok and alliance leaders wouldnt want to "fix" the lag.Who creates it in the first place you think? So 2 years ago people had 1000 man fights and stuff were working more or less. Now you get backscreened with less. What makes you think that if somehow CCP "fixes" lag and 2000 chars are playable in a system, the alliances wont put 3000 in it? The reason we know that you cant have 1000 fights atm is because there are at least 1000 more from each side looking at a blackscreen trying to jump in.

Organizing everyone to let even just a single day of subscription lapse would send a huge message. I'm totally in favor and just 1 day shouldn't disrupt in-game operations significantly.
Course vets (me included) might end up not bothering to resub when it's time, but meh, there comes a time for people to ask themselves why are they wasting time playing an unplayable game anyway? ------------

Exactly, after CCP changed moongo we acquired in total 2 addition tech moons on top of 120 we already had before the change. That insider information actually shaped our following 6month long campaign.

Getting everyone to cancel their accounts for one day then resub sends the message that CCP may as well do whatever they like because the customers are too invested in the game to quit for real.
The only way anything like this would have any consequences is if thousands of players cancelled their subs and stayed cancelled, and even then, what are you complaining about? Just because CCP aren't very good at fixing things doesn't mean they're not trying
