Hi all. What would be best and more fun for Angel ratting in null ? An ishtar or a domi ?
Regards.

Angels are great for speed tanking, lots of missiles and short-ranged BS, so an AB passive shield/nano Ishtar can tank almost any Angel plex you like if you watch out for webbers. Pimp it a little and I think it could probably solo the 10/10, a T2 fit can quite easily do the 8/10 (although it takes forever) Unfortunately the DPS isn't great on such ships.
The Domi if you fit it for maximal blaster gank, shield buffer in the mids, with a few TEs and magstabs can put out over 1k dps at 6.4+18 - which is usually plenty - with a total price-tag under 60 million. This is great for Havens and normal rats, but it will get eaten up if it's caught by roamers, so it might not be a good choice if you're in a dangerous area. This is probably the best option for maximal isk making, and more fun than the overtanked Ishtar.
The most fun choice is to fit the Domi with a heavy active armour tank (do you best to plug the EXP hole) and fit point in the mids and heavy neuts in the highs. If someone catches you you will usually be able to take at least one of them down with you...

Like the poster above me says, they both have their advantages
A dominix fitting with some guns and magstabs / tracking computers squeezed in can deal nice dmg, but suffers a bit in the tanking department if you want to get all those modules in. The ishtar tanks much better, but doesnt have anything to add to the drone dmg in most cases. It is however perfectly suited to tanking sanctums & plexes etc. without breaking a sweat if you shield tank it.

For ratting I would go with the Ishtar, as it will be a lot more agile and therefor you can GTFO out of the belt if reds pop in. Dominix is a big fat target. Performance wise in belts they'll be close, so the GTFO button swings it IMO.

TBH I am using a domi in Angel space. warp to 70km and kill everything. I have blaster fit as I thought that they would be usefull with close in BS's But I found the drones are killing everything before they get close I am thinking about swapping to normal rails. That being said Angels are a tad tricky to tank, A hidden Hub can overwelm this tank as the triggers are frigs, and you need to pop frigs at a distance with a Sentry II build. I have had to warp out everyonce in awhile. using this build. I chose not to run the Ishtar in angel space as I have doubts with its tanking vs Angel rats, vs serph or Guruista it is a no brainer Ishtar is second only to a pimped proteus in 0.0 work. But with the tank needed vs angels you start to cut into the Ishtars drone dps...
