If you wanted to help flood victims you should have set up a non-game donation program. By introducing a real life influence into EVE you caused the artificial inflation of PLEX. Because of this inflation you caused players to pay millions more for PLEX than normal. Before your PLEX donation program the PLEX was selling for 324 million. Now it sells for 365 million. I think you should re-imberse these millions to players who purchased PLEX during your donation program.

Selfish little ****, cant believe your *****ing because you have to put in another hour or two to buy a plex when the money no doubt will do a lot of good over there.

Wow, you're right. They manipulated the market and now you're going to have to pay a small amount more for your PLEX. Those bastards.

I can only hope the donation program comes back to bite CCP in the ass! Hopefully players will cancel thier extra accounts instead of paying the over inflated prices for PLEX CCP caused.

i wonder how much cash off them plexes will actually make it past the greedy hands of the leaders of one of the worlds most corrupted country's,
pakistan can EASILY afford to pay to help its own people, its not a 3rd world poor ass country, like Hati for EG, but yet it chooses to ignore these people.
what on earth makes you think they will use the money donated from charities any differently to what they currently channel their cash into, nuclear arms race with India for eg

Umm...isn't the purchase and conversion of GTCs to in-game isk already a "non-game influence" in EvE?

If CCP is going to allow in-game fund raising for a Real Life cause, they should allow the discussion of the reasons for and against that cause. Instead they have deleted all posts which discuss the politics or religion of the area in question.

Dirk.. did it ever cross your mind that maybe less people are taking their CC, buy some GTC to convert them into PLEX to buy ships to get them blown up later?
Also, the amount of plex traded in forge alone is around 1,500 per day. 300 is 20% of that. How long did the PLEX for Pakistan run? 15-SEP-2010 till 6-OCT-2010.. that's 3 weeks. That's roughly 31,500 PLEX traded in Forge. 300 of that is .9%.. less than a percent of the traded volume of Forge alone had been donated.
Now let's look at the graph for PLEX.. The rise began roughly 8 months ago at a basis of 260M/PLEX.. Then a rebound 4 months ago to stabilize and since 3 months it's rising steadily from 300M/PLEX. The anouncement of PLEX for Pakistan was on the start of the last price rise.. that's true, but the trend before that already was set for 360M/PLEX for the end of NOV (roughly 20M/month atmo).
On top of all.. please explain how 1% of the traded volume in Forge could rise the price of PLEX by roughly 10% (start of your figure) in all New Eden? New Eden needs a Public Feature/Idea/Bug-Tracker |

Yes, it was the 200 some odd plex that went to the CCP Terrorist Aid program.
It was definitely not: - ISK fountains of the war free 0.0 causing inflation - General distaste for the direction of the game causing people to buy plex instead paying RL money to keep their characters training. - Closer to patch time, which historically GTC has always climbed in prices around patch time.
Those reasons are just foolish, its definitely CCP's support for al-qaeda that is causing this.

Hi, my name is Clue and I am here for you. Actually I am here for everyone who just doesn't understand how the "Plex for Pakistan" program worked. First off lets address the issue of the price of PLEX. CCP does not set PLEX prices, they are set by players, so why don't you take it up with the greedy little so and so's who felt like making a few extra isk off the backs of other peoples misfortune.
Secondly, the issue of where the money went. A lot of you are under the rather misguided impression that the money went to the Pakistan government and that they may have purchased weapons or gold plated toilet paper. They didn't see a penny. Not one. All the money donated by us via CCP went to a branch of the Red Cross. They used the money to purchase aid supplies which they would then have directly distributed to those in need.
See, when you actually engage your grey matter for more than 2.3 seconds you tend to make fewer errors of judgement and are thus less likely to end up making utter fools of yourselves.
This has been CLUE, getting to all the idiots, one by one. Peace.
