As someone who has had PV stockpiled for a rather long time, I was wondering how large are the stock on this item?
Daily consumption would also be nice to know.

The simple answer is: Still too much!
This char allone has more than 4 mil items on stock. Prices are way too low to sell without a loss. |

Doubling ISK isn't that hard when only dealing with some 3 billion worth of PV.

I dumped 10bn worth tbh, just remembered your name as one of the people who I dumped it on 
I believe prices aren't due up due to stock depletion for another 18 months at the minimum, any price fluctuation in the meantime is down to market manipulation and or mistakes being made.

Current sell price 27,500
Build cost at current market PI prices - 60,000, but as stated, stockpiles from pre PI keeping prices artifically low
some figures which you may be wondering about:
13/02/2012 - 2,494,903 on sell orders
13/05/2012 - 1,715,443 on sell orders
08/06/2012 - 1,647,223 on sell orders
02/08/2012 - 1,851,276 on sell orders
Current volume stockpiled - anyones guess, though I suspect I have the largest stockpile = and don't worry, I have no intentions of selling them prematurely or flooding the market with them like some planks do.
Realistic timespans to depeltion of pre PI stockpiles before players start to have to manufacture - 12 to 18 months
So, whilst their is isk to be made from these, its a long process and don't expect to get rich overnight, that is unless you have plenty of spare isk and can manipulate the market, which their is scope to do.
Anyway, I'm a patient man. The way I look at it these are one of many investments I have slowly ticking away and a x15 increase on my original investment, despite the timescales, isn't bad

I would venture to guess that guidance systems are FAR more concentrated though which ultimately means that they achieve "depletion" sooner.

No need for a large stockpile to keep prices well below cost. And for longer than 18 months. You might check the zofu website to see why.

Sept 4 2010: 1,650,000 for sale. BUY: 11,800 SELL: 14,400
Oct 5, 2010: 2,033,000 for sale. BUY: 6,855 SELL: 8,999
Nov 20, 2010: 1,236,000 for sale. BUY: 6,831 SELL: 7,779
Dec 9, 2010: 631,000 for sale. BUY: 16,004 SELL: 28,989
Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is enough PV in stocks to last well over 4 years at current consumption rate (about 12,000 per day). |
