Just grabbed one from the LP Store. Goal is a solo pvp frigate sorta like a Crusader.
This is what I've come up with:
[Imperial Navy Slicer, test001] 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Adaptive Nano Plating II Adaptive Nano Plating II Heat Sink II Tracking Enhancer II
1MN MicroWarpdrive II Faint Warp Disruptor I
Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S [empty high slot]
Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
4000 EHP 125 DPS @ 19km optimal /w Scorch 3200 m/s 4.2 second align time 84 seconds of cap
I am torn with this ship. 5 low slots can make one hell of a nano fit or one hell of a tank. Comparing it to my Sader fit I am:
1800 EHP higher 5 DPS higher at 6km more optimal 1600 m/s slower 0.5 s faster align time 20 seconds less cap
Sader can fit a tech 2 pt, Slicer needs best named pt or faction.
Dunno, being way slower sucks but nearly doubling the EHP and having more dps at a longer range might make up for it.
Advice would be appreciated.

[Imperial Navy Slicer, Slicer] Heat Sink II Tracking Enhancer II Overdrive Injector System II Pseudoelectron Containment Field I Co-Processor II
Catalyzed Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters Warp Disruptor II
Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S [empty high slot] Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small Energy Collision Accelerator I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Low Friction Nozzle Joints I

Such a bad ship (atleast how most pilots fit them)! Your pretty much only going to destroy ******s in this ship and possibly ab-frigates. Been trying to work around its weaknesses, tracking and tank beening the big ones!
Nice try with your setup, by the way...

Edited by: Commoner on 11/10/2010 23:04:16 This is a wierd ship to fit to be honest, you very quickly run out of CPU fitting the longpoint (T2 that is...for the range) and your MWD. The only setup i've toyed with was the MWD+24km point variant with tracking enhancers....Scorch S with 24km optimal and about 100'ish dps, this will get murdered by heavy missiles and autocannons @ 24 though.
I've killed a few battlecruiseres with it and a vexor, just orbit, shoot drones and DON'T bump into astroids or control bunker....lol.

Depends on where you want to fit it.

Buffer fit on a 5 slot frigate seems reasonable. Trimarks make it a whole lot tankier but then it is even slower.
Doing half tank half speed seems to give a decent middle ground. That being said, tis a new ship to me so I have no idea how to work it.
It's big strength as I see it is its range with pulse II's and Scorch. Your setup seems to emphasize that more. How fast is your fitting?

Not with armor buffer. You lose what you gain.

Edited by: Shaedyn on 22/10/2010 02:17:10 Posting cause I didn't like the fits. Admittedly, I did not make this one up but it was close ot the one I was playing with. I didn't think of the Metastatis adjusters but they do wonders. [Imperial Navy Slicer, Tough Guy!?] Heat Sink II Overdrive Injector System II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Damage Control II True Sansha Adaptive Nano Plating
Faint Warp Disruptor I Gistii B-Type 1MN MicroWarpdrive
Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S [empty high slot]
Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
Hard part is establishing orbit around 15-18 km out. Once you get that going you can kite bigger/slower frigate. Don't try to take on a Dramiel it won't work. Your tank is kiting, I took out my friend's jaguar, he didn't even break my shield. Mostly missed. Metastasis Adjusters accommodate your tracking but if you find it's not enough swap the HS II for a TE?

Most ppl fits with some success in it revolve around the above concept - most ppl usually opt for a named DC instead of named TEs, but I would go for the latter simply cause it's way cheaper...you loose some tracking (.268 vs .273, no big deal), and your optimal drops from 24km to 23km...also not that bad. You gain 100+ EHP in the process and save a couple (ok, way more) million isk in the process... Join the Biggest Greek Corp! www.Mythos-eve.com - Join Mythos Channel in game! |

Baby Jesus cries every time he sees an empty high slot.
Fit an offline small neut inbetween the guns.
This way you double the amount of time you can overheat your guns.

Baby Jesus cries when people keep posting when they don't know what they're talking about. Offline modules do not work as "heat sinks" for overloading. You're just making your killmail a bit spendier.
