1) Is it common to overload modules (repairer, remote rep, etc.) on supercapitals ... or is it just done as a last resort to save the ship (or other) because repair costs are so expensive ...
2) Similar question with regards to booster pills: do you pop one before beginning of the fight? Or do you just swollow one in extreme situation because of the potentially bad sideffect (reduced HP for higher repair amounts)?
Thanks for any info from experienced capsuleers!

Just out of curiosity, how much nanite repair paste is consumed when you repair something capital size? I was surprised how little is consumed in T3/BS.

If you didn't know the answers to these questions then I sure hope you don't intend on buying a supercap anytime within the next few months...

if you have to think about the cost of repping those mods, then it only shows that you cant afford a super cap in the first place

I hate carebears who think they're so clever by using "tears" and "cry more" against people who are better at PVP than them. -------- Enemy corps raided into disbandment: Three.

Since none of these idiots are going to respond to your question, I will.
1) Is it common to overload modules? Being a carrier pilot and being very close with many supercapital pilots, I know for a fact that the only modules that get overheated very often are your neut and your warp disruptor. Remote reps almost never get overheated since if you're in a situation where you need to do overheat that, nothing short of a triage carrier will save the target. Further, to avoid repair costs (since you know, you CAN'T dock a supercap to repair a module,) carry nanite repair paste. Its extremely inexpensive and while it takes a fair amount of time to repair something, you won't have to unfit something, take it to a station, and then repair it there.
Also, if you think repair costs on modules are expensive, you really don't belong in a supercapital of any kind.
2) Boosters. Strong Mindflood. Thats the booster you use. It was practically invented for supercapitals to use and in that regard, if you want to get the most out of it, train biology V. Nanite Control and Neurotoxin Recovery help with the reduction of the percentage of the penalty and the percentage chance of getting a penalty. In most situations, you will carry dozens, sometimes hundered os boosters in your Nyx, Aeon, whichever it is you want to fly, and then when you think you might need it, you pop it. If you want to use any other booster, you're probably doing it wrong.

obviously the cerb pilot is a better pvp'er than the entire 20man camp, how can 20 people assemble to camp a lowsec gate and not know that they wont catch any ship that has a cloak and a mwd fitted. This limits their target selection to orcas and noobs, and you don't need 20 people to kill those.

I find it Hilarious, that half the reponses on this thread are completely derailed, and the other half are throwing around the obligatory "if its too expensive you shouldnt fly it", when the OP didnt even mention plans to purchase or fly said ship. It was a general question of curiosity.
To stay on topic, I dont fly them so I wont comment.
