...or pro-gay marriage, whichever way you prefer to look at that one, I guess.
Anyway, awesome organization made an awesome commercial. Watch, be awesome. Lots of swearing, though. You be warned.

Here's a commercial from the other team. Not nearly as exciting if you ask me but a group was kind enough to spice it up.

That video brought together everything I hate about gay people and homophobes.
Flamboyant body language and excessive swearing, to cover for lack of brain or security in the own capacity and/or sexual orientation.
I feel compelled to join in and go 'ah-ah, don't go there girlfriend!' but it's too late...

It was meant to be everything homophobes hate, you seem to be the one lacking 'security' in your 'capacity and/or sexual orientation.'

Sorry but you're generalization of heterosexuals fail. I don't like overly outwards acting people, regardless of sexual orientation, i.e drama queens.
You do whatever you do and thank you for popularizing sodomy but again for me not wanting to stone you on the spot to me wanting to frolic with you in a meadow of whimsical faeries, that's a huge freaking leap!

The edit was me putting in 'for' instead of 'from', mind over keyboard or something. The rest of the masterpiece remain intact.
I didn't generalise heterosexuals, I only pointed at your homophobic reaction. The reasons for that over reaction, and abusive language on your part, are for you to consider. If you feel you have something to prove here, go ahead, be my guest.

I don't get this.
why should one care about someone's else sexual orientation? and why should I be worried that homossexuals get to marry each other, since it doesn't affect me in any way? ---

Hate/distrust against outsiders helps unify a community/group and gives people someone else to blame for things that are bad in their lives. The more you can make your side hate them, the less you have justify the hate. It becomes a thing of faith and your side will start to belittle and dismiss all critical claims against that shared view on their own. It really is a great scapegoat for your own failures, impotence and hipocrisy, and after being repeated long enough it will start to live a life of it's own and is really hard to get rid of.

The parodies are BRILLIANT! I love them!
I could've done without the two dudes making out in the FCKH8 video, but I also have an aversion to watching old or fat people making out, straight or gay. Not a fan of PDA from either side. Still, brilliant!

What abusive language? Point it out to me, I'm not as sensitive as you are about these issues.
And no, I don't have anything to consider, I hate flamboyance. If that is what gay is all about then you may have a point, I however suspect you don't speak for all gay people.

I don't see why they even want to be involved in the failure that is christian marriage, or want the approval of the roman catholic church. But maybe it's more about provoking religious zealots, and that i can relate to.
Taxes. There are a few other little benefits like being able to see your significant other in the hospital though I believe they have recently changed that to allowing GF's and BF's. And a few of them are traditionalists still.

You might as well ask why people would care about how other people see beings in the sky who supposedly created us all. Yet for hundreds of years people have killed each other over that. -------- Enemy corps raided into disbandment: Three.

As a conservative anarchist (yes they exist J.R.R Tolkien was one) this whole topic should have been moot.
What started this was that people had a problem with how the state doled out other people's money for medical benefits to state employees.
Everybody who plays this game knows the old adage "You can tell me how to play when you pay for my sub".
It's the same thing. When you are taking OPM (Other Peoples Money) other people (from whom the money was taken) will have something to say.
Now meanwhile, the entire issue is meant to distract. So California for example gets to vote on this? Gee, California, what about your land rights? Gee, California, what about your gun rights? Gee, California, what about your small businesses and their right not to be nickel and dimed to destruction? Gee, California, what about your nullification and 10th Amendment powers?
Nope. None of that.
Nobody should be living off of or taking anyone elses money. Put a stop to that, and nobody can say to anybody how they should live or who they can marry.
My personal opinion: let them marry on one condition. One of them has to be the "designated man" in the marriage because that's the one who will have no rights in the divorce. Make that condition and there will not be as many unions as people expect.

For those of you who don't quite understand as to why same-sex marriage is important to gay people, its because of this. Denying people over 1,000 rights is a teensy bit rude.
However, I couldn't care less if it was called marriage or civil unions, as long as the rights were the same. Pretty much, I feel like John Barrowman does on the subject.
Oh, and for the guy who says the video is "everything he hates about homosexuals," its meant to be a giant **** YOU, I thought that was going to be pretty self-evident, but apparently people don't quite understand hyperbole.

And you summarize the general outlook. The problem is that the gay marriage issue is not about sexual orientation, is not about sexual practices at all.
It is about legal issues, about laws. Married couples have certain legal rights. Couples that are not married do not have these rights.
Add to that traditional Judaic-Christian definition of marriage, and you get the current situation.
If homosexuals would agree to use a different word for their "marriage", civil union for example. People who oppose them because of the Judaic-Christian definition of word marriage would probably stop opposing them. Then you put the legal rights of married couples under that word. This way heterosexual and homosexual couples have the same rights.
The problem is that a lot of homosexuals want to use word marriage, I am guessing they want to be like regular people (homosexuals are a minority after all). And so the whole issue is not going away any time soon.

that's what happened here in portugal this year (and some time ago in spain too). They can't marry by church, but then again, marrying by church is just a " traditional formality". They can, infact, have a civil union at the registry, and be legally recognized as a couple ---
