Do you get more status increases with higher lvl missions? In other words, if I run 5 lvl 1 missions and 5 lvl 4 missions, will I get more standing increase from the group of lvl 4s?

Yes, standings increases per mission increase with mission level.

There is some debate in my mind whether it amounts to real increase in standing over time since higher level missions usually take longer to complete.

i've been told level 3s are the best for grinding standing. and if you use a smaller ship like a HAC, you have a higher chance of getting the tougher missions, which = more standing.
i use a muninn that does them faster than my old hurricane. |

lvl 3s in a munin is laughable. You can do 5-6 an hour if you pay attention and do them efficiently.

It's not about attention and such, just bomb through the crap as fast as possible.
Anyway, it doesn't matter which ship you fly for mission quality. You will be fine with huge firepower against small and medium targets and high speed.

Confirming the above statement is internet spaceship snakeoil.
The ship you're in when getting a mission offer has no effect whatsoever on which specific mission you might get offered.

just what i was told and i have been getting a lot of high level missions using a cruiser, but maybe that has to do with something else.
muninn is a level 3 beast though. |
