Indeed, rather jaw-dropping in amount of action and 'realism' (in quotes as, well, this space battle business is rather fictional an all ).
I'd definately buy that if it delivers a good amount of content as well as the large amounts of graphically stunning displayed in those videos.

Has a lot of combat that Eve players would like, it seems. Also looks like twitch control too.
Eventually the pure twitch barrier in MMOs will be breached, and the ability to secure client-level collision detection from hacking achieved.
(Steel Beasts actually manages this)

I must be the only one who is slightly tired of twitchy Star Wars combat.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure Naumachia has been dead for a while.
It indeed has been. It started off promising (3 guys making it, one of which was apparantly part of the Crysis dev team) but there has been no update since early/middle last year i think. Might not have gotten an investor or something..
it's not an MMO game in the sense of the word btw. you enter, fight, gain rank and new ships, quit, start and have to start over. That was the setup when it was in production anyways..No retained rank and ships. Just start and build up your rank over and over. ___________

Wow I had no idea it was still going after all these years. May give it a try.
