lol, thanks for the concern Windy.
Just confirming that while this made me take a break from eve and I sold Hurley as a result of this (I never want to fly super caps again), I am fairly happy playing as I am now.
Will DVRN and ex-SoT members do the right thing? No, they could care less and tbh, I kinda prefer that they play eve with this looming over their heads more than wanting isk or my ship back. Don't Ban me for my Love of Amarr! |

I know what you mean to an extent. It was an utterly humiliating expose of the poor leadership/intel and the fact that SoT weren't able to pick their own nose unless PL 'ordered' them to do it.

Not only was Hurley planning on defecting back to IT, he was committing a multitude of treasonous acts against the Sons such as elite market manipulation/sabotage, leaving JBs empty of fuel, and on a more personal level, purchasing a new house IRL and rubbing it in the face of our Bulgarian members who were by and large mostly rural villagers who could not afford such luxuries. lol you mad?
You do know what happened with Hurley and IT don't you and the people who were getting all anal about him buying a new house so what, there fault for taking the bait and making it all personal. And leaving JB empty lololololol then why didn't you fill them up? And I bet he put some overpriced item up on the market and you bought it because you weren't paying attention so you got all anal about that as well :P
Nothing you can say will justify blowing up a ship someone has worked hard to get in your own alliance (if he is out of alliance more fool him, but he wasn't) you guys a noobs and nothing will change that ----------

Well after that Cap fight in syndicate IT made a push for PNQ. Took it without much resistance. Huns moved into a1-con. PL and SOT just could not play the numbers game. IT was forming 250 man fleets with ease. So everything pretty much went down the crapper once PNQ fell. Corps went different ways. End of story..

Between choosing ratting over pvp and setting up their POS to shoot blues deployed to help, only Kartoon could concede territory to IT faster than SOT. The "right thing" for Sons of Tangra involved a case of scotch and a revolver.

Nope your wrong. There are few things about SOT that many outside didnt knew. As its dead and SOT is now an alt alliance let me clarify a few things about it.
The entire alliance was based around BULG/VLAST/KMV and that nearly all of them knew each other in real life, I have met nearly all BULG members and knew them by name and nickname. As a gaming community in Bulgaria was rather small we actually knew in RL pretty much all players of EVE, some where in SOT, some where in BOB, some where in PL, NC and so on and so on, and we all knew each other. At first SOT was a pvp alliance and were damn good at the time couse we didnt care about space or POSes or ****. Than came space and we started to get slow, bigger, greedier, but nobody didnt care about our space or feared us+pl at the time as we fended wanabies rather easily and we got sloppy at defending grew even fatter, internal boredoom and some leadership disputes did rose but not to a major level at any time. The crack of the alliance was when BULG went torn apart from few issues - Leadership went afk, started selling assets and cashed out in RL. As i remember about 5-6 out of the 10 highest directors of SOT have been banned on all accounts and chars for RMT. And at some point internal hatred leveled up to such heights that evidence of corp/member thefts(**** you Noway, nice that your banned ***got) of individuals were advertised inside corp just out pure vengeance/hate. People showing those info were flamed, some took one side, some the other, threads were made, but all that happened after was that everyone started taking what they can and running. All those bad events were happening in the rising risk of IT invasion and btw - IT knew what was happening in BULG, because leadership in both parties knew them selves in RL and information was shared, there was also the alleged pay by IT to Lok(**** you too, crybaby and alliance leader) to stand down the alliance. Welp stuff died, sot died, IT took the space, now SOTs just an alt alliance no one should care about. And after its death.... well than came the bann hammer of individuals scattered and disliking the old leadership and petitioned it for RMT, so now i think there arent many BULG directors still playing to tell a story different from what i say, as i was there and i saw it. BULG died, nearly 50% of it stopped playing, rest scattered. SOT DIED. END.

Nice nostalgia thread Windy.
I'd like to contribute with the original hurley death that inspired the "bomber down getting a new one" meme
It's not really hurleys fault that he blindly followed an FC, maybe when he loses 4 avatars he will will start to be a bit more cautious like the pros.
You remember the blue kill in WY-9, I remember the crazy attempt to DD 15 hacs while in BNC, then dying to goons. Here's the part 2, including angry call out from bob "need to speak to you in private channel" guy.
Nice thread thanks for the memory. ---

I should post the chat logs where Lok almost cried him self for being rejected... Also say hi to "the lucky bumped in ff rag". Your opinion and point of view are important to me as much as you used to play back in bulg (aka none)
And last time i went to channel Bulgaria was to make fun of Astal. Before that was to mock on BECKS as part of pro-BULG propaganda, guess what i got owned as BECKS still live.
