Why do you have 2 MAPC when the modules listed use like 22ish grid?

i fight with kestrel pvp gang (3 frigates) 2 kestrel and 1 tristan
kestrels : 4 launcher named rocket with kinetic damage 1 mwd 1mn II, 2 dampers named 1 cap^relay, 1 balistic control (rocket 2 sec) then 2 kestrel with 2 dampers = 4 dampers, u can attack cruiser with this fit, cruiser can shoot just 5km and 150 sec
tristan : scramble 20km

not a very good one man setup tho, i go for the simple setup.
4 standard launchers, Rockets are **** unless your holding MWD,webb or scram and a cap recharger and two relays in the lows, i dont really care for ballistics but you could stick one in
fine for anything and a camp

I would highly suggest spending the what, couple hours and get minmy frig 3 to use rifter
But, incursus:
2x Ion 1x Electron in High (PG issues) Web, Mwd, Scramble Relays
Very simple.
If you want slap on mapcs and go neutron, worse tracking but very good damage output, my mate was averaging 60-70 damage hits with his.
Why, what a large scrotal infection you have, Carebear. |

Edited by: Famine Aligher'ri on 06/01/2005 05:29:54 Rockets are awsome don't let anyone tell you wrong. It's just how you're using them and the approuch/speed. Kes I would aim more towards named std missiles for over all better DOT. But for speedy ships like Minmatar, rockets can be good for fighting off all the newbies in Kessies. Due to you being able to put defenders in and able to keep up with the missile spam.
You have the mids for a nice EW setup, yet no real speed without an MWD or AB. So EW wouldn't work out vs cruisers. Best bet is to use Damps and try to pick them off at your max range. Good luck!

Well considering what I learnt when I fought beside you Guddah, I would't expect this post from you. Anyhow the kessie atm is limited to a cheap lockdown ship, killing the odd interceptor that's dumb enough and killing the odd hauler and maybe a small cruiser. I'd stick to the rocket launchers for maximum damage but some people prefer the range of light missiles. For the meds the MWD will help you aproach and a web and a 7.5km scrambler will help you lock down the target. for the lows balistic control units and whatever you need to fit the above. Make sure your navigation skills are up to scratch tho keep your cap use down. As for any other frigate, thier capabilitys are more ore less on par with the kessie, a cheap, expendable frigate, with some lockdown capabilitys. A few more good frigates would be the incursus, and probably the punisher, though its a little too slow for my tastes.

I use the same setup in fleet battles, can run everything ferever, I love me incur, and I will nvr fly min ships they r just butt f***in ugly ships, rifter is only semi decent looking one, to quote an amarrian "trash heaps of epic proportions"
there are you happy now, my sig fits every rule. Now, no delete me pls, I promise to be good!!!11010101!! |

Incursus: Hi: 2 Light Neutron + 1 Light Electron Blaster Med: 1 MWD + 1 Web/Scrambler + 1 Cap recharger Low: 1 Tech 1/2 Small Armor Rep. + 1 MAPC
Though the ship hits over 2km/s with the MWD, its best used as a frig-killer/dmg-dealer. Take advantage of the short range and use the web to keep it like that. Stay away from taranis.

You are basicly going for a tackler setup which implicates that its more of a solo setup, if you want more dmg u can also fit 2 MAPCs and tech 2 neutrons, dont expect to run everything forever though.
IMO the solo days of frigateering are over, they are rather used in groups as cheap warefare.
