Yes I know the Caldari Navy Raven was the old name.
But do you think we will ever start calling them Raven Navy Issue?
Anyone?

Not until PDUs are PDSs and BCUs BCSs.
In short, once there's a ship that logically must be called CNR. Parrots, commence!

Lots of people already use PDS and BCS (especially the latter). However, CNR is an iconic name, and it gets so much usage on the forums that it will never die out. People know about the CNR before they have any idea that there's a ship called the Raven Navy Issue. HAC has similar momentum.

It's BCU, DCU, PDU (actually I'm agnostic on this one for some reason), and CNR.
Stabs are more complicated as I'm not sure there's a real standard distinguishing magstabs and stabs. This gets rather complicated considering they're both low slots and do very, very different things. But hey, context is everything.

Damage Controls are and should be simply DC. That saves DCU for Drone Control Units.
Mag-stab, I-stab, and Warp-stab all have a nice ring IMO.

Soon as Americans admit that they do not speak English, and re-learn suffix ise and the use of letter U, which does NOT mean you for those who only speak "Da intrawebzernser."
Untill that day, its CNR, BCU et cetera. ---------------------------------------------------- My views do not represent those of my alliance, corporation or myself. Trully, sometimes I manage to confuse even myself.

Were CNR's every called Caldari Navy Ravens ? I thought they were RNI from the begining.
I know some mission rats were called Caldari Navy Ravens before the release of the "CNR" and thats where they got there names from or am I wrong ?
Anyways I think CCP should change the name of the Raven Navy Issue to Caldari Navy Raven cause it sounds so much better anyways.
