Don't forget the "ISK the guide".

A very important guide for EVE online.
I hope the new improved version will come out soon.

If we want to celebrate the creative Capsuleer why isn't CCP supporting the mobile app Capsuleer for the iPhone and iTouch? With it's demise there is nothing to replace it ... bleeding shame! I read the blogs every day on the train ...

But.... the Official EVE Online Dev Blog isn't even in the pack!
Does that mean this blog isn't worth watching? Guess not. :)

I came to this dev blog hoping it was going to be about Chribba. I wasn't merely disappointed, I was outraged.

EVE 24 is biased news and terrible reporting, but it is news and happening. Tbh just read it to see what kind of banners he comes up with
The best creative things are the many brilliantly funny comics and flash thingies the players have made over the years. I've saved each and every one and cherish them. Some examples : Far From Homeworld Warp Drive Active Horden Friendly's Burning Tranquility TheKiller8
Somethings truly gorgeous things are made as well like these pictures some Russian girl called Kovad cooked up.
All hail Kovad I say.
Then there's tons of movies on youtube some of which are awesome like this, this and (check my sig).
And the list of the more technically creative, guide writers, app makers, etc is endless.

Always nice to see these little updates. Hopefully the publicity will encourage Eve News 24 to do a bit more investigating and analysis before they make their posts. It's great for getting news quickly but I'd prefer a little delay to improve the accuracy and neutral tone.

This. Eve News 24 has potential, but it needs better editorial control. At the moment there is too much opinion posted as fact, too many unattributed quotes and it is overly sensationalist. It's ok for them to give opinion, but it needs to be clear where the 'facts' stop and the speculation starts. It is a little too much like a trashy tabloid at the moment, which puts me off reading it.

Edited by: Blazde on 22/10/2010 03:21:11 More Eve News 24 props from me. It may have it's faults and biases in some people's eyes - hey much like every RL news source ^^ - but it's by far the best news effort EVE has ever had. (And I say that as a pretty big past fan of EVE Tribune). Long may Eve News 24 continue. I fear it won't for one reason or another (criticism, burnout, etc), but still hope. _

Quote: Or if you have some old favorites bookmarked, weĈd love to see them make a resurgence, so post them too.
I can't imagine my game without these sites. Some of them I use every day, others taught me many useful things about the game. So, here it goes:
eve-survival.org - complete categorized mission reports from lelvel 1 to level 5. Includes wormhole and complex information and much more. Invaluable to new players. eve-guides.com - simply the best web location to learn everything you need to know about industry and POS management. Dotlan - web based service that shows very informative maps of every region in game including wormhole space. Includes all kinds of statistics pulled form EVE-API (PvP kills in last hour/24 hours, NPCs destroyed in the last hour/24 hours, number of jumps into the system, sovereignty, ...) eve-kill.net - one of the largest killboards that don't require registration and logging in to post your kills/losses. Based on EDK's architecture - an Open Source community of EVE killboard developers. They are offering personal and corporate killboards for free. EVE Metrics and EVE Central - OOG market listing and statistics services. Offers information about everything you can buy on the EVE market (regional and global price indexes, statistics and much more) games.chruker.dk all kinds of useful info about the game including API development and testing section. A must have for all that work with EVE API.
and ofc. all Chribba's services.

Congrats to Czech Lion for the success of EVE News 24. Definitely an addition to the community considering his up-to-date articles and format. Also, I was pleased to see that folks over at skilltrainingcompleted.com were interested in discussions of EVE mechanics. Keep it up...

Eve News 24 is excellent. I was very happy to stumble onto it a few weeks ago.
Tis a shame Eve Tribune has tapered off lately. I hope Eve News 24 keeps up the steam - its gotta be alotta work.
