You can save fittings for ships for reference to at a later time or to quickly and easily share with friends. Also the search queries will remember every search u make (even when u mess up on spelling and will forever have a useless search drop down until u clear your cache).
As I'm flying through space working on sec status (system that needs to be revamped) I noticed i cant save flight paths for when I set certain waypionts to fly through systems in a certain manner. It could be useful if you could say you have to rat in multiple system because of (idiotic session change) you could set a navigation plan chaining like say 30 systems that loop into a circle and then save this flight plan so u can go back to it later again when u have to rat for sec status or even like "activate" the path so it cycles in a continuous loop until u turn it off - meaning that If one is flying through systems A-Z , the waypionts aren't discarded as u pass through the systems (if u set them this way?) instead the plan contentiously cycles through systems in the chain - so that u don't have to manually reset your flight path once your cycle is done.
Some other ways i could see this being useful for people is those that trade or if and alliance/corp does patrols (could be done in a more organized manner) , scanning or really w/e other reasons to specific people that need to visit certain systems but flight paths just are either to long or not frequented enough to memorize.

I like the idea really. It'd help for a whole myriad of things, from static plex running through to (as the OP mentioned) corp or alliance movements or patrols. Admittedly you could just remember the path(s), but I like the idea.

It would be a handy feature to have, not just for what Godsmack is suggesting but just for general market research between regions

It'd make flying around to the market and back easier, especially when you have those extra long trips to worry about. :)

Also if you have your own ideas how this could be useful aside from what i mentioned in the original post please do share as I'm many people can come up with all sorts of reason how this feature could be a help/fun/ useful

+1 Supported, this will make trading and sec status grinding much easier, although i do believe it would be easier for macros though. It would have to be well thought out and planned.
