I just got this game, and I have to say, its pretty badass. Although, the mission with the haunted hotel, that one pretty much scared the **** outta me. Lets hear your feedback guys.

What's the use of playing a clanbased game if it's not multiplayer?

Yeah, well, I sure hope they do introduce multiplayer into the game, that would be really awesome. But seriously, that damn haunted hotel scared the crap outta me guys. Pictures would start shaking and shoot off the walls. Elevators would try to crush you, lights would bust out when u walked past them, u would hear voices, u would see ghosts, and people would run by. U read a newspaper about a little boy's severed head in the alundry room, and sure enough, u would hear something rolling around in there. I could go on and on, I was seriously getting chills and shivers down my spine....

Hmmm, i quit playing it after about an hour. Should I give it another chance? The game just seemed so consoley... Missing a lot of the polish of the first one. Not to mention the graphical glitches...

Definitely give it another chance. It does have lots of niggly little bugs, and combat's kind of disappointing at times, but it's still worth putting up with the flaws.
Haunted House has really been the highlight of my gaming year (last year that is). I can't remember the last time a game had my heart pounding so much.
Besides - you get to be a vampire and suck people's blood. What more could you want?

I've been playing this too.
The haunted house bit was arguably the gaming highlight of 2004 for me - I don't think anything in a game has ever had the atmosphere of that episode.

So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

The ú9.98 is a genuine sale price, I work at GAME and almost spat my dinner out as I read the sale lists and saw Bloodlines there.
Even better was Legacy of Kain:Defiance for 98p. Shame we don't have any copies. ---------------------------------------- Space-Slacker |

I'll give it a go this weekend, then. I did get the patch, but it still didn't fix the clipping issues.
I'll have to remake my character, I guess. I made a one with skills focused on firearms, but I kept getting owned.

each clan is very different, playing a Malkavian is alot different from playing a venture, ventures are the social elite of the kindred, Malkavians are crazy bastards, and a hell of alot of fun.
i give the game a 8.5 out of 10, exelent game really, voice acting for the most part is superb, combat is great if you have the right skills for what your trying to do, there are many ways to complete any mission, and i mean ANY mission. being able to sneak and kill people silently from behind by snaping their neck as a cloaked Malkavian was just so much fun.

Well I gave bloodlines another try over the weekend. Played it for another 3-4 hrs and still didn't like it. I seriously don't know what you guys see in the game. In fact, I like it even less than I did before.
I was gonna sell it on ebay, but copies are going for like $10-15, so it's not worth the effort. A shame too, the first game was so cool, especially once you got to New York.

Let me get this straight, it took you 3-4 hours to realize you didnt like the game?

Finally White Wolf came out with a good video game. Now if they made more of an emphise on the clan system it would be uber. Im just sad 3rd Edition Vampire is gone with rest of the WOD.

I had already given up on it after playing it for about an hour after I got it. You guys kept raving about it, so I decided to give it another try. So, I played it one afternoon to see if I could find when all this supposed fun began. It never did.

Technical issues aside, it's the PERFECT Roleplaying game....right until you get to Chinatown. Meh. The constant shoot-outs completely shove aside any real possibility of freedom that you've had up until that point, and the Asian vampires (Kue'Jin? Can never spell it....) are just so insanely irritating it's not even funny.
Ah well, it was fun and persuaded to get back into PnP VtM. Heh.

Edited by: Estios on 27/01/2005 16:32:09 My PC is pretty sweet and apart from some probs with EVE Ive played most other games fine
However I bought this game the other day and its pretty much unplayable for me
At regular intervals of about every minute the sound and pretty much the whole game kinda hangs/loops ie someone will be speaking and they will go " Go kill...kill...kill...kill....kill....kill Fred Bloggs" (kill is my attempt at showing you what I mean).
Ive not downloaded that patch yet but anyone else get this ? Does patch address it or is it my machine/sound card ??

Dont be discouraged bud, its just the problems of the game. I get them the same, and I run a 3.0Ghz P4, 9800 Pro, gig of RAM, and an Audigy 2 ZS. The game has it's bugs. But it gets better.
