Edited by: Con Script on 26/10/2010 01:29:50 Ok so I made a new Gallente character because I couldn't stand looking at my Minmatar character.
I know everyone says blasters/railguns are fail but that's ok for me.
So I come to the forums for help in making the most efficient skillplan I can make I want it to do 2 things.
1) Fly a Taranis 2) Fly an Ishkur
I want the Taranis for PvP, Ishkur for Isk.
Anyone have any ideas or do I just get T2 Blasters all Drone skills to 5 and pew pew away?
Edit: I don't care much for the Learning skills right now since the time it takes for them to outweigh the time put into them is too large. I probably would start training for them after I got into the 2 specialized Frigate ships that I want.

Edited by: Plastician on 26/10/2010 03:37:17 Quick answer:
Download EVEMon. Import your character. Look at some fits (within EVEMon) for the Taranis/Ishkur and click the "Add To Plan" button. Add other necessary skills to a high level (e.g. Cap skills/Navigation skills to V). EVEMon will then tell you which Learning skills will shorten your plan overall (including the actual time to learn the Learning skills).
Long answer:
I don't fly either of these ships, so can't give a detailed skill plan. (Oh, that was shorter than the quick answer)
EDIT: If you are a new character, then you have 2 remaps available. Use one at the beginning of this skill plan (using EVEMon to get the best map), then use another to go back and get your Learning skills back up (unless they are similar remaps).

You know that in a month or so we can change our characters looks with the new avatar creator?

Minmatar ships (let alone frigates) are made of duct tape and cardboard, I tried to salvage one, till he started shooting me Rule 7: Thou Shalt not whine. |

the most effecient method in reaching your end goal the fastest (but will require the most patience) is to open evemon, add the skills for the ships you want to fly, add the skills for the items you want to fit, all of the support skills for that ship and those items (dont forget fitting skills) and then sort by SP/hr - with the highest at the top. then find the point where it switches from say int+mem to per+wil and add a remap point, optimize it. your done.
if you have a brand new toon and haven't remapped yet, i would do my initial map for int+mem, and add learning skills to your plan. i would do level 5 of the basic learning skills and 4 of the advanced ones. you dont have to do them all right up front, and its best to alternate int, mem, int, mem. then slide the others down to be trained just before you actually need them.
this method WILL result in the shortest overall end goal. but you'll likley be unable to really play very effectively before then (you'll have a bunch of support skills, but nothing effective to fly) . if this isn't appealing to you, just map for perc+int and train whatever you feel like that day. this will take longer a bit longer, but you;ll at least be able to play in the mean time.

Interesting choice given that everyone gets to remake their character portrait in the next xPac...
No more looking at that goofy face, and you get to keep all those cool skills. |
