There's some video somewhere about that but I lost the youtube link. But apology thread. That said, I'd like to thank Private Nuisance for numbing me to losing expensive ships in PvP and teaching me a pretty good lesson about what not to bring to a fight.

We amassed a fleet, no, a blob, of mismatched ships which, against players of similar experience and SP levels, did fine, wasn't ever meant to take on the force it did. And so instead of going to another system and hunting down more legitimate WTs, we decided to have a knife fight next to a station, wherein we completely lost all sense of focus fire, and flailed around helter skelter to the point that we got schooled badly. Personally, I had fun. I lost an expensive Prophecy, but it was my third PvP, and my first against a superior enemy. For the lessons learned in that, lessons that I suppose can only be learned by losing an expensive ship I had no business flying into combat, I thank Private Nuisance.

Some (probably annoying) advice: Make sure all know a basic pvp fit for the ship they use. Cap boosters for cap, relying on recharge will kill you. Choose one type of buffer tank so you are settled with one kind of rr; everyone with spare highslots can fit an rr mod (and/or neuts) if you don't have sufficient dedicated logi's around. Also there is no excuse to save isk on not buying rigs :_: (three trimarks on a typical pvp Geddon raises its EHP with some 30k for instance). Same with ECM; if you don't have dedicated ships for that, have some of your gang use ECM drones. And yeah ...primary calling, primary calling, primary calling. Good luck. ~~Recruiting!~~
Shaedyn	Posted - 2010.10.26 12:17:00 - [8] Hey good show guys. I props for trying, sometimes losing hard is the most fun in EVE. I still remember my first low-sec run. Failfit Arbitrator + Failfit Caracal VS Curse. It was over quick, but at the end of the day it was really fun.
