Edited by: Ayolin Yaneer on 27/10/2010 19:50:53 Two new players here. I'm vouching for my friend at the moment and trying to find a corporation that both of us can join. We are very new characters, but so far it's not fun just flying by ourselves doing level 1 missions. My friend is on a trial, but I'm not.
We're looking for something more and people to chat with/play with, and even learn the game more with. Have only been spending the first while learning, learning skills as I figure these would be good down the road eventually.
I don't have a clear idea of what I want, but have read about Piracy, Wormholes, Nullsec Wars and Sovereignty, Industry, and even some ninja/grief/suicide things. I don't think fireing at dumb NPCs for the next couple of months would be entirely entertaining. What I would like to know is what some corp may suggest, who we can join, and why we should join.
I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read and respond, and look forward to getting to talk or fly with some of you.
-Edit- Forgot to add what time zone we are in. We are in Pacific standard time. (-8)

Hi Ayolin
We are a corp that mainly concentrates on industrial activity plus exploration and security. We are expanding our member base to establish bigger and regular fleet mining ops, missions and exploration ops.
Our members are young and old pilots and we learn from each other about all aspects in the game. We strongly support new pilots.
Feel free to check out our recruitment thread: M.A.R.S. Recruitment Thread
Convo or email me ingame.
Regards, Hiro

Hey m8 my corp is apart of an alliace that does about every aspect of the game. Being apart of my corp you get access to fleets in low sec if you wish to pvp. If you are into Indy stuff then i can offer bpcs lower than contract prices, and people to mine with. Laid back alliance and nothing force on you to do join in or run around alone. We have vent and our KB is: http://romps.griefwatch.net/ mail me if you have any ?s

We are specifically helping new players learn all about Eve. We have people in Industry, Exploration, Missions, Wormholes and PVP. We could be what you are interested in if you play from Eve Time 20:00 to 02:00. We do have an age limit as well. Check out the link for more information. Good Luck in your search.

MARSOC Galactic is a mixed mining, missioning, indutstiral, PVP corp.
Primarily USTX, though we've added a few Euro TZ recently.
We're 80+ memebers including affiliated alts. Most evenings and weekends you'll find a missioning fleet up and a mining fleet up. We do frequent low sec PVP roams. We do wormhole ops.
No minimum skill points, we just ask that you be able to use voice comms (Vent), are reasonibly active, and want to be part of a fun, friendly, rapidly growing, future powerhouse of EVE.
Join MARSOC public chat channel in game to talk to some corp members.

Most newbies never know what they want to do. And for those few who do, they change their mind down the road. That's okay.
What matters is that you join people who can shed some light, have fun along the way, and eventually contribute to a corp who has given back to you.
Top 5 Reasons to consider GHF: 1- Noob friendly. We have industry and pvp advisors that you can make an appointment with. In 20 minutes, they'll give you the ins and outs of the respective career and save you 2 months of mistakes. 2- In 10 minutes, I can give you a proper assessment of your skill plan. What's right. What's wrong. What needs fixing. 3- Lots of USA players from east coast to west coast. 4- Structured for the veterans. And enough perks for the newbie pilots. See website. 5- Our upstart program. Simple. Fast. Make 10M-20M in a couple hours.
Fly safe. -----------------

This is way too painful. I've been trying to get into contact with a lot of the people who just contacted me about recruitment and I can't seem to get a hold of anyone. Offline or unavailable.

You should find one of my officers online in your Timezone -
Contact RedEye, Kynric or Klutch Johnson in game to discuss our corp.
Though we are mainly PVP focused we run specific PVE fleets to enable newer players to gain fleet experience before moving into fleet support roles in combat - if you send RedEye in particular an EveMail i can say for certain he will get back to you. CavScorpion CEO - GZS-R Minmatar Fleet |

If you are still new enough (sounds like you are) you might consider Eve University to get a start.
They're entire mission is to help players like you get into the game and get you up the learning cliff.
I didn't find out about them until after I'd passed the 3 month mark but if I had it to do again I'd probably start with that.
Do the EVE U thing for their 3 months then join up with RVB for a couple months to get some combat experience. Then figure out where you want to go from there.
Now as a recruiter for RVB it might seem odd for me to point someone to EveU first but honestly while one can fly with very minimal skills you'll have much more fun with a fair amount of SP backing you up (best if you can T2 fit a Frigate) Not to mention needing a source of income which the Eve U people can help you work out.
Best of luck
