In a few days, Pandemic Legion is splitting up and its member corporations heading off in their separate directions. After many years of successful campaigns, the doors are finally closing. It couldn't have been possible without any of you, from the highest FC to the lowly grunts. Much thanks to both foes and friends alike.

Been in PL for only about a month, but it seemed from the very start that there were internal issues that would rip it apart; people lost interest in the game after weeks of constant structure shooting and sov grinding. Thanks PL FCs for your hard work getting supercap kills here there for us to feed on. I trust that Viper and Elise will lead HABIT to another great adventure

I know whats going on. They will quietly fade into the night and wait for everyone to build there caps and feel safe undocking on kick-out stations. Then when to time is right we will see a "getting the PAN back together" thread. Anyway, congrats on all you guys have accomplished.

It really shouldn't come as that big a surprise to anyone that has studied the Eve political landscape over the years. When alliances start getting too big, or take on masses of flavor-of-the-month players, they eventually cascade in glorious fashion - take PL when they lost Fountain, Triumverate every year, MC, BoB, Goons, -A-, Atlas, the list goes on and on. With as much sov grinding as we've been through causing FC burnout, and with such divisive members, you figured PL was overdue for a self-cleansing. Well, no time like the present it seems. As far as HABIT is concerned, we'll probably be joining FW to get back to our low-sec roots and then we will start courting some of the major players; Dead Terrorists and Mercenary Coalition are the top of our list, though we haven't ruled out a return to small-gang warfare with our good friends GK Inc.
Was a wild ride guys, so long for now o/

See I was thinking this and I thought, "woah why hasnt anyone asked which of the NC alliances with ex pl join assuming this isnt a troll thread".

It's safe to say that CCP subjectively coming after PL members and harassing us despite our fully honest gaming ways played a pretty big part of this. There have been bans here and there, in both EO and elsewhere.
We're hoping that after the change of banner things will return to normal and we can return to playing without fear of getting banned just because we're better than you.

As an official member of PL Leadership, I would like to thank the pilots (past and present) of PL that helped shaped our Alliance, and to a certain extent the game itself.
From our humble start in Curse as nothing more than a conglomerate bunch of corporations out for fun, to our time(s) in the various parts of the Eve Universe to our Alliance Tournament appearances to our inevitable ending, we've attempted to generate an enjoyable experience for our pilots.

If not - I was in Atlas and saw PL in action, although aggravating at the time, I have nothing but respect for PL, and most of their pilots. Some of em were complete d..kheads, but the vast majority were awesome to fight against.

Yes, and who ended up banned in the end? BoB leadership, who knew all about it? No wait, someone from PL did.
This has been going on for a long time with baseless accusations and harassment of PL members. A lot of us are sick of keeping up the fatade of "doing it for the lulz" every time the general eve-public accuse us of cheating. If breaking up and moving on as separate entities is what it takes to remove this stigma, then so be it. Thank God we didn't start our wormhole operations earlier, or the whole C6 Magnetar fiasco would probably be pinned on us as well.

Confirming that the alliance will be breaking up via a special event on the 31st in the system ec-p8r, starting at 2100 EVE. It will be an every-corp-for-themselves capital / supercap FFA, the winning corp receiving 500 billion ISK. I know because even Waffles are invited, although we are only allowed to bring thrashers to cause mayhem by popping fighters / fighter-bombers, but get 10 mil for each one we pop. Waffles will resurrect their currently inhabited husk of the Goonswarm alliance and retake sov in Providence, going forward as a separate entity, although Snigg alts will still be welcome. The Bee will be a symbol of terror once more, restored to its former glory. We cordially invite ElitistOps here, publicly, to retake a shared leadership role in the new, independent Goonswarm.

Odd... I had assumed that the posted titan loss was actually the Nyx loss I had seen.
A North Eastern Swat Nyx had been supposedly killed by other PL corps here:
