I have got 4 research agents working for me. Spent 40 mil on the skill and god know how much on doin agent missions, time and isk and not one bp. This is getting so lame now surely you could of though of a better system.
Research Field Total RP RP Day Total Days For Nothing!
Graviton Physics 6603.57 63.00 104 Quantum Physics 4527.9632.00 141 Graviton Physics 4319.3948.50 89 Caldari Starship Engineering 31702.54139.65 228
I have also improved my skills in these fields recently to get better multiplyers and increased standings with corp not sure if it effects R/P day total.
Common CCP sort it out

Umm the only one of those with a substantial value to them is the caldari starship one, and pretty much everyone has atleast one starship engineering research agent. If you are desperate for a tech II bpo the best ones to go for are the un-popular fields, less people = more chance of winning the lottery.
Ive got an agenting with over 60,000 rp and nada, yet ive also got an agent with less than 10k rp who got me a tech II laser bpo, its just the luck of the draw. Keep hanging in there.

far too many of these threads ... far too many people believe that they were guanteed a blueprint
the truth: it is entirely possible that you will NEVER receive a tech II blueprint no matter how many RP you have
Quote:
JP is quite correct. Those number don't even get close to the real numbers. Do your homework first.
Example, each support cruisers have 23 blueprints coming out. That's 92 original support blueprints. Same with turrets, I can't even count how many of those are coming out if you count all the types.
And there are not 20.000 people doing research. More like 7.000 where of 25% have less than 2000 RP. Current drop rate is about 12 BPO's a day.
Limited run BP's from R&D and other sources were covered in yesterdays EVE-I dev chat.

Actualy Sir Alsamus has a point. EVE is a game, and games are supposed to be fun. Perhaps the game would be slightly more fun if more people got a chance to become a T2 BPO owner EVEN if it meant increasing the total number of BPs dropped AND the number of BPs offered daily from (in relative terms) nothing, to something that mattered for more players.
Ofcourse this would mean that T2 BPs were more commonplace, and yes, subsequently less expensive as they are not as unique as they are now. But on the other hand, it could also lead to more competition among "high-tech" maneufacturers, increased supply, and perhaps stimulate the emerging Star Base moon harvesting and related T2 component production.
All in all, the frequent mistakes that CCP make when balancing new features seem to be made from a premise that "hard to use/get" means, longer life for a new feature. Exodus has to "last" a long time, since it took so long to make, but by making the various features less acessable to most players, they in effect pour a lot of work into something that most of their customers wont ever get to see.
The reality of the decitions made by CCPs design team, lead to a game that is less rewarding, less groundbreaking and less fun for most players.
I can see how making things hard also increase the rewards, but perhaps they are a bit too hard, a bit too inacessable, a bit too elite. Something to be dreamt of by the many, and had by the few.
Perhaps that is the CCP way, but it is certainly not fun for the majority of the players who ultimately pay the bills.
Sorry for the long-winded post, I do that sometimes... -- "I am an expert in not caring. The trick is to stop giving a rat's ass about anyone else and start thinking about what YOU want, what YOU diserve, what the world ows YOU!" - Bender |

Scarcity leads to cooperation. Cooperation leads to annoyance. Annoyance leads to anger. Anger leads to fear, and fear is the path to the dark side..
All I want to exacerbate my suffering is access to cumulative research field statistics and histories. Because I am lazy, I would much rather hope to mass manufacture an elite module than a ship any day.

Could someone plz run this by me again, or point out where I can find the thread that explains these research skills? I've got quite a few of them collecting dust in my hangar. Is it useful to invest some SPs in them? Does that improve your standing? Thanks for the info.
