What my corp does is have every member keep an alt in the corp but the mains stay in the same npc corp. We all comm on the corp channel, use the corporate hangers with the alts and such and then laugh when the decs come in and they all think were offline. the only complication will be when we want to open a pos, but we wlii deal with that in our own time

The amount of carebear replys defending this sickens me. No wonder people want nothing more from Eve other than to ruin your game and your days. Only a true carebear can defend being a coward that many times over. Idiots.

Edited by: Dasola on 07/11/2010 16:37:02 Amount of griefster tears in this thread is huge.
So you want to force those indy player to play by YOUR rules? Why exactly? Why should they just undock to become another kill in your killboard?
Seriously stop whining. If you find it problematic that your victims evade you, then maybe you should put your standards of selecting targets higher. Actyally choose corporations to deck that will fight you. Too hard you say? Dont want to loose thats ship of yours? Your suchs carebear damn you.
You fellows all the time yell this is PVP game. Well, wheres the pvp in shooting industrials that cant fight back? Seriously fellows, thats not pvp, thats growing your epeen with lies. Just becouse you killed 2000 industrials dosent make you pvp player, it only makes you lowskilled moron thats looking for eay kills with no risk for himself.. What was the definition of carebear again?
For my perspective wardeck mechanic works as intended. Why? Becouse you can wardeck any corporation/alliance out there at any time. They cant pay concord a counter bid on your deck to make it go away.
Maybe ccp could send you fellows killmail everytime corporation you wardecked and dispanded and then bill you for unnesessary loading of game infrastructure
This game is hard enough for new people, without idiotic "pvp gods" wardecking them constantly.
So grow up, stop whineing and go look some real targets that are willing to fight you. Take a risk for once yourself.

This comming from a person who would rather shoot a noob or an indy than get involved in a real fight.
Your disdain means nothing because it is nothing more than an attempt to shame someone into allowing themselves to be manipulated into doing exactley what you want them to. Want to be respected, go and fight a pvp corp that wants to kill you.

If they disband corp, you win... unless they just reform another corp with an identical name.
If they leave corp, that member is defeated.. unless they just rejoin when the war ends.
Solution: Make leaving corp an act of surrendering. You can't rejoin the same corp for a month if you leave while at war. This way, people are free to go as they please, if they'd rather run than fight.
Only, now it carries a consequence. It's not just a free pass to safety. Newbies that want out can get out. No one is forced to fight.
They're just forced to fight to defend the corp they want to be in, or to move on to greener pastures.
The only problem is people can drop in/out all they want to simply avoid the war. Thus, if you want to target a corp for war, they can essentially avoid you forever.
All PVP is skewed in terms of the bears anyway. Unless you screw up, you can't die. It's impossible to jump into system and warp to someone before they can warp if they're watching local. It's impossible to force an undock. Jumping into a camp means screwing up; use an alt and you're safe. Etc.
But don't expect them to do anything except hide and them smack about how good they are at hiding.
Protip: If they leave the corp, suicide gank them. |

Lol. It still hasn't gotten through to some griefers that they don't have exclusive right to tick off other players. If finding ways to make them waste their time and effort is getting this many tears then I would think the system is working as intended.
As far as what CCP should do, consider this. Most of the new players are nowhere near making enough in game to pay for plex. Most of us are spending real money for our subs and then buying GTC's on top of that to build up our charactors. If you really think CCP is going to do something that drives off the noobs in favor of older charactors that buy plex with ISK, you really are fooling yourself.

That was one of the more moronic posts I've ever seen. Yes I do buy them. I also buy supplies for many games that I play. Thats called being a gamer and after all the years I've been playing games this is the first one I've seen wherein other players actually looked down on others for buying gaming supplies. Very odd indeed. But yes, I am a bit of a noob in this particular game and I am a carebear for now.
As for the rest of your opinions, they mean nothing. I've been a gamer for over 3 decades and there are a number of them I am quite good at. Given time, the same will be true of EVE. You are just one of many arrogent players I've run across and I'm certain you won't be the last

"Gaming Supplies" are things like PCs, actual games, controllers, consoles, etc.
"Gaming Supplies" are not buying currency.
And don't pretend that "carebear for now" means anything. Carebear once, carebear forever. People don't change; maybe they intend to.
But the carebear mindset is not "how can I take what I have and win", it's "I need to get more isk more ships more shiny I must build my stats up".. and they keep building and building, getting into more expensive stuff, and of course having 0 experience in how to use it.
So they don't. They now have expensive stuff and are afraid to lose it, and thus they grind away forever and make up little excuses as to why other players are better than them.
Or, they're not better, you just can't win because they're evil cheaters.
My pvp corp has always had members who can't even use battleships.. they still did fine. It's an attitude.
And again: @ buying currency as "gaming supplies.". What does a carebear even need to buy isk for? All you bloody -do- is make isk. |

Your funny. That would be true perhaps if this was about instant gratification. But this is about skills, skill books and long term planning. In the end though, there is no reason in debating you because you are never going to look at this with anything but a closed mind. I do wonder what made you so bitter, but thats a thread for a differant day. Believe what you want. In the end it really doesn't matter.

I'm not bitter; I just don't see why I should cry a river for people who sign up for a PVP game and then refuse to PVP.
It's kind of amusing really, to see how much literal -fear- you can cause. I have entire corps logging off at the simple gesture of me logging on. I can keep them from progress by sitting afk in a station.
If they worked together, they'd kill me so fast. I know exactly what I'd do for the ships I'm after, to make them counter me. They don't even try.
I don't understand cowardice in a videogame, no. Oh god, I might lose my pixels.
Maybe if you didn't break out the credit card for isk it wouldn't hurt so much.

Just as every excuse you make, applys to yourself and other harcore PVPers. Blowing up hulks with destroyers and alts? Damn, don't want to go negative to the local empire with my main and using other ships might mean *GASP* I have to carebear rat to make isk. Real risk adverse if you ask me about Hulkageddon participants, would be a riot if they used T2 and Faction ships to shift isk around in economy that came from their own pockets instead of hulk pilots that need to replace their losses. But hey, whats easier then hurting yourself? Others! Correct for 500, except it was supposed to be in the form of a question.
Quote: What does a carebear even need to buy isk for? All you bloody -do- is make isk.
And if you are buying PLEX with isk to fund your account, then you are as much a carebear. Don't want to take a risk of hitting your real life wallet? Oh ****! Risk is in everything, glad I could help point that out to you. EVE simulates a lot of RL things very well, and some of them I can do in real life without boring myself in game, like making an appointement weeks in advance to wait at the dentist office another 45 minutes after my appointed time which is not much different then spending months grinding out a HAC to near perfect skills and holding converstations with the local gate in lowsec while waiting for a ship to pass through. Real exciting stuff
Quote: I'm not bitter; I just don't see why I should cry a river for people who sign up for a PVP game and then refuse to PVP.
It is Player vs Player. Or, how about Person vs Person, as in interactions of you vs them. OH SNAP CRACKLE POP! I just haxed it for you. Again, EVE simulates real life and you have options. Want a soda from the mini-mart? You can steal it or pay for it (You certainly won't kill the clerk ). Want isk in game? You can steal, lie, work for it legitimently in any profession, or negioate some deal with the less then value of zero you called a carebear that you have more disdain towards then the homeless bum on the street corner you just passed. Chribba is the biggest ***** in game when it comes to combat, but you see him getting more respect then the Godfather giving reach arounds. Why is that? Oh yeah, he works with the community seling cap ships and every brown nosing merc in EVE will come to his rescue but no one gives a flying **** if someone ganks my ship. Chribba interacts and goes above and beyond with his out of game websites by interacting with the EVE community. You took the easy way out and define your PvP of blowing up ships, which I can do the same by playing HALO (today COD:BO ) on XBOX live for a fraction of the monetary value for a year than paying for a years worth of monthly sub for EVE (ship to ship combat bores me after spending months training for it and finding that active tanks don't really work, EVE has lousy combat mechanics for the time invested) . T
Try interacting with the rest of EVE and see what happens, because it isn't as hard as you think to ask me a pure carebear what can I, Space Pinata do for you that you can help me profit? Kind of how Chribba/FX90/T'Amber did. while muttering to yourself You dirty, useless carebear who should be hung from a tree while I burn a cross and wear my bed sheet over my head.

Gankbear tears are the best tears.
Let's see I sure wish I were actually able to log into the game at the moment so I could dig up Viper09 war dec retraction. You lost 1 ship well not you, you were too much of a ***** to even show up, one of your corp mates lost one and you guys didn't manage to take down even one of us.
What's wrong couldn't handle a corporation that would actually fight back?
Let's look at the leet pvp record of some of the gankbears in this thread.
1st we have Shailagh R with 14 kills only a handful of which could even fit guns in very challenging fights like killing an Omen with an Appoc.
Then we have Viper09 who's at least got more than what would be an average night of fighting for me through his entire career (unlike Shailagh) and I will give some credit that he has actually fought some stuff with real guns fit. Course most of his PVP experience seems to be in blob warfare.
Yeah real leet PVPers here.
Course I guess it makes sense for them to want to take on targets more their speed and since pretty much anyone who can equip guns is beyond their capabilities indi newb corps are on a level they can handle.
But here's a hint. It doesn't make anyone look hard or badass to cry about carebears greifing them back. It just makes them look like fail gankbears who need to HTFU and grow a pair.

I am probably wasting my time, but IÆll give it one last try to explain it from my point of view. The main difference in our opinions seems to be based on what we each view this game to be. You have said itÆs a pvp game and your argument seems to allow for no other interpretation. I do partially agree with you in that PvP is a large focus within the game, but you must see that it in not the only thing that one can do in Eve. If one was not meant to mine, why are there large, expensive mining ships and why is the entire economy in the game based on player (not NPCÆs) doing the mining? If one was not suppose to mission run, why are there so many mission agents? Why are there skills for building and trading? If every new player was meant to be nothing more that chum for the more experienced, why is their even a high sec at all?
Note that I am not saying that one should ever be totally safe from PvP; one isnÆt and should not be. But I do ask why anyone should be made by a new game mechanic as was being proposed to go out into space and engage in an activity that is not their focus in it?
I also wonder why there are so many players who insist that anyone who plays the game differently then they do, who finds relaxation in something other than combat should be made to feel like a lesser person than those who do. As I mention earlier, I have been playing War Games for over 30 years and have long been looking for an open ended game that allows me and others to follow what ever whim we have at the moment. IÆm not against the War Dec system; it lets you play the game your way. There are numerable ways to get around it enough so that those who do not share your interest can still interact with friends and find the niche that suits them. In time many players like myself, who want to become fully comfortable and capable before we delve deeply into combat will. Others just want to see the lasers pulse while they listen to a CD. My complaint with people like you isnÆt your desire to kill easy targets. It is in that you get so angry when they donÆt feel the need to make it easy for you.
And lastly, buying GTCÆs doesnÆt make me value the ISK more. Believe me when I say at about 5 bucks per hundred million, its just a lot easier to pay the five and have it now rather than wait the month it would take to accumulate it.

Thats the way I see it and have tried to get the point across. If someone won't play with you and thwart you wardec fee by leaving just like you want to thwart their activity, then either give up and look somewhere else or gank them. Wardec fees make it easy for you, but hard for them to just play the game their way which doesn't have to be yours. There no rule that states they have to be in an NPC corp at all times if they don't want to fight and there is no rule that states the agressor has to hide in highsec using wardecs to fight when they have open access to null/low/FW for their pewpew activities.

I'm picking on people who think they can AFK us to victory. We can wardec you if you're afk in a station. It costs next to nothing. We will wait you out and do our own thing. I always offer a ransom, too. Very reasonable ones. We offer to let a corp pay, and inevitably get an indignant "No, we'll never negotiate!".
They then refuse to fight. And think docking will somehow make us go away.
Oh, and as a fun note:
Point out the difference between PVE mission skills and PVP skills.
Step 1) Take PVE build Step 2) Train propulsion jamming and MWD Step 3) ??? Step 4) Profit
The only thing missing is player skill. And you can't get THAT without fighting. |

Thanks viper09 Proud ceo vipers bastards
p.s most of my pvp isnt blob warfare thats jsut recently check further back but hell im not a pvp god like you rvb prats
Since you didn't seem to understand the way this works. When you dec half of RVB you will be at war with the other half.
We've seen plenty of "proper fleets" even a few who've managed to hand us a serious drubbing. We've also had more than one leet PVP outfit draw back a bloody stump.
You gotta know what you are getting into when you dec RVB you're dealing with a crew who's here to fight and generally when 3rd parties are around doing their docking game asshatery they are interfering with our ability to blow each other up and that tends to annoy us so year will ****ing crush them with what ever we can bring to bear.
Oh and since most of our time is spent doing "T1 cruiser honor dueling" 3rd parties give us an opportunity to pull out the stops and break out our big toys. Just because our guys like flying T1 hulls and spend a lot of time in them for fun doesn't mean we can't fly other stuff.
Just goes to illustrate my entire point that you look for weaker opponents who aren't able to defend themselves then run like a puss anytime someone gives you a serious fight. Yeah we ganked your guys BC and we'd do it again and not feel the slightest bit bad about it and if you managed to catch me and gank me back I'd toss you a good fight in local.
I wouldn't have even brought it up if you weren't here crying about other people not being willing to lay their throat's open to you and give you easy KM's.
There are plenty of 3rd party's who've decced us in the past some successful and some less so who I will give a nod of respect to. Noir, Project Nemesis, Nova Ardor (the only outfit so far to completely kick our backsides)to name a few.
You however were just one of many fail outfits who spent their isk deccing us then never bothered to show up.
I mean what were you thinking? Did you believe the hype about us just being a bunch of fail PVPers who would be easy pickings for your leet null sec crew?
You have one guy show up in a BC trying to pop frigs then you cry when we undock a gank force and turn the tables on him? lol.
I think my point has been made quite well.
Thanks.

Edited by: Gallactica on 11/11/2010 11:26:33 Makes me laugh when you see these corps deccing "non-fighting corps" and then moan about lack of fights, afk'ing, hiding etc etc etc, what do you expect them to do?
Some corps will relish the challenge and have some fun with it, whilst the majority just want to be left alone and play how then want to play without risking there pixels.
If you want something to shoot at, dec something that will shoot you back you will get far more action. But then again, with someone that will shoot you back you cant wave your e-peen around, pat yourselves on the back and say how great you are at killing in-experienced pvp'ers - But i suppose doing this takes balls which seems to be severly lacking in a lot of corps who dec high sec indy corps.

Ok since I'm a nice guy and you seem a little dense I'll try to break this down a little for you.
My point in bringing up your failed wardec against RVB isn't that RVB kicks ass and you suck (it does and you do) but rather to point out that when faced with a superior force that you couldn't fight effectively you withdrew your dec and made a tactical withdrawal.
I'm not saying that's a dumb move what I'm trying to get you to understand is that these war targets who refuse to fight are doing exactly what you did. They were withdrawing from a fight they couldn't win.
Sadly both the irony and my satire seems to be lost on you.
You ARE the one crying here.
You and your little gankbear buddies are saying "These newbs we keep decing are dropping corps and refusing to feed us easy kills, Please change the mechanic so I can haz more easy carebear killmails"
Please explain to me the substantive difference between a bunch of carebears with little to no PVP experience and probably not the right skills character or player to effectively engage the typical station camping neutral RR gankbear; avoiding your wardec by dropping and reforming a new corp and you withdrawing your wardec against RVB when you figured out you had bitten off more than you could chew?
Imagine if RVB where a typical player corporation rather than a simple fight club.
What if when you decced us we had made it mutual so you couldn't unilaterally retract it?
Then when you figured out you had bitten off more than you could handle, instead of letting you go about your business we spent our time hunting you down and camping you into every station you dock at? How would you like it if the mechanic you are proposing existed then?
It's the same thing every time this type of thread comes up. We get all the whinny gankbears who come out wanting CCP to change the mechanics of the game to bring them easy kills.
Whether it's move L4's to Low or your request for another Armageddon day it's alway the gankbears looking for easy kills and of course you are always too short sited to see that no one is interested in playing the part of your victim so if such changes were made the juicy carebear targets you are drooling over just won't undock or worse will simply cancel their subscriptions.
There are thousands of people in this game perfectly willing to give you a fight. Go take a look in the recruiting forums at all the PVP corps.
If you want fights, wardec one of them. Or better yet many of them operate in low or null so you can go fight them without even spending the money on decs.
Those corps generally won't disband when you dec them.
Of course then you'd actually have to take some risks and maybe lose some ships to people who equip guns and know how to use them.

Perhaps 1x/month you could do a 1 week war dec that would make everyone in the corp you dec a valid target for that week even if they switch corps. It would be a sort of special war dec.
I don't war dec industrial corps. But I do think it would be good if industry could really be effected by war decs - at least some what. I think it would add to the game if industrial corps started paying pvp corps to target their competitors. It would make for a richer game environment. -Cearain

Weird the corp i war decd was running a mining op with 5 hulks, and an orca... wish i had that went i started the game... did i miss a special promotional offer some where? that instantly gave you the skill to fly an orca, and fit 5 toons with a hulk?
So you are repeatedly war decding a high sec mining corp? WHY? What did there corp do to you to warrant a war declaration? From your posts it seems you just picked them randomly because you wanted to try the war mechanics. That is not the intended use of those mechanics. Maybe they are a mining corp with no combat players. Why should they just sit around and let you pop their hulks? Are you that bad at PVP that the only ships you can kill are mining ships? Declaration of war on a high sec minning corp is your fail, not their's. Avoiding the war is the only logical action if they are a strictly mining corp. If you want war then declare on a corp that actually has PVPers in it. Other wise you are just grieving, and it is you that are out of line. And yet you are here asking that CCP change the rules to make it easier for you to grieve high sec miners. LOL at your fail.
