OK...im gonna get a crow, but since these babies have the defense of paperkites in shield and amor I must rely on speed. So im gonna fit a MWD.
Im also getting a webber and warp scrambler.
Heres the problem: How do I avoid the other fellas webber and scrambler?
Thnx!

Edited by: Synaig0 on 07/01/2005 14:08:18 Be faster then him so even when u are both webbed u can move out of his range (this is especcialy important vs a taranis), or get a long range web.
Also always fit the best possible web u have on your ship, if u can control range, half the battle has already been won
The best webbers atm do 90%, so if u can be sure that u are faster then another intie with a 90% on him u can control the range
*edit* I assume u are talking about intie vs intie fights?

just practise lots in kestrels, they are slow so you'll learn fast :P
the only way to do it would be witha long range web and they cost lots... good investment if you use frigs lots though i guess

Im actully not talking about about inty vs inti fights but rather inty vs frigs and cruisers.
I thought I could fit some kind of ECM module...

Kestels can be fun, a lot of fun even
4 rocket launchers, a warp scram and a web, and as much armor plates in low as u can get.
This will kill most unprepared inties, Ive even killed taranis in it. Of course against a long range frig u are pretty much fubar, but still a lot of fun and cheap 2 ---------------------

You might also want to consider fitting a Noseratu. They can't web you with no power... tht |

Edited by: Synaig0 on 07/01/2005 14:25:44 Edited by: Synaig0 on 07/01/2005 14:21:30 If u are webbed by a missile cruiser, u are simply dead.
My advice, dont get within 10km of them, but if u absolutely must web em, do a quick pass at about 9km, then web em, by the time they react u are already out of range and they are webbed
Vs any cruiser with cruiser sized guns , my advice is simply to get as close as possible. Even when webbed they still cant hit u, however if they have drones and u are webbed, u are *again* dead.
Cruiser with frigate sized guns, only one thing work, either jam em, or run like hell.
VS frigs its more or less the same as vs inties, but easier cos they dont have that much firepower or ship HP
*edit* Battleships have 21km range nosferatu.. No cap = no MWD = missile up your ass
*edit2* U can equip a ecm burst, that will usually break their lock, but since they can get a new lock in about 1.5 seconds, this can be of limited use, of course that 1.5 seconds is 1.5 seconds without damage, and since frig battles dont last that long anyways... ---------------------

OK, so maybe I should start without the use of webber and scrambler?

try using missles and MWD and a 20k scram, and the spend the rest of your pg/cpu on a small battery II and cpr's.
The 20k scram does use alot of cap, as does the mwd but there might be enough to kill a frig or cepter, however you wont hit a cepter chasing you at 3kms+ without a web -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Edited by: Vampire Blade on 07/01/2005 15:41:22 my setup:
3 named standards with bloodclaw (fof for back up) t2 mwd, 20k scrambler, 90% webber 2 cap relays and a local hull overdrive.
brilliant versus frigs and intys, i keep my speed at 85% what it usually is, let them chase me out side range of the gate, once they're like 200km or more from the gate and closer to me i wack on the 20km scrambler, spam missiles, crank up my speed (nigh on 4550m/s, maybe more) after 2 full volleys i go in for the web, it's beautiful. watching around 650 points of damage smash into them before most of the time i get hit. even if i'm webbed, the 90% webber and superior speed ensure i control the range and the final outcome of the battle.
not tried it versus cruisers, but i can't see them being too much of a problem. ----- ----- -----

Edited by: Mnement'h on 12/01/2005 14:12:31 ... a tactic I find works in frig vs frig fights ...
... use a missle frigate (like the amarr inquisitor) ... if your speed outmatches or is nearly equal to your opponents then wait in place facing the opposite direction until he is within lock (not missle) range ...
once you lock him select "keep distance > current" ... this will make your ship fly in the opposite direction at allways the same distance ...
... now what you have is a missle fight ... BUT ... ... your missles are flying faster because your opponent is flying towards them and you are flying away from them ... + you are decreasing your missle's flight time and increasing his thus his missles (light missles that is) run out of gas before hitting you ... if you time the firing of your missles so that they are spread along the reload period, his defenders will miss every 2 or 3 missles ... a setup of this kind leaves space for EW stuff like jammers and lockbreakers ...
also a good thing is to use named rocketlaunchers for defenders instead of misslelaunchers ... they pack less ammo but fire and reload much faster then your opponent can shoot at you ...
