Wanted to make sure that using the synergy program to move your mouse between two screens is fine with CCp, i thought i read a post about it being so in the past, but wanted to make absolutely certain.
also, is this the right synergy program?

To make a long story short, automation of gameplay is not permitted; players must be manually issuing the commands to control their character(s) at all times.
Our stance on programs such as Synergy and hardware/software combination such as the G15 keyboard is that they can be legitimately used as long as gameplay isn't automated. Synergy allows you to move your mouse cursor to multiple different monitors which are hooked up to different computers and we do not have any qualms with players using the program for this purpose. If Synergy was used in some way to control your accounts for you without a need for you to be at your keyboard, then that would not be allowed, but I am not aware of such a functionality with this program. If Synergy is used in conjunction with some other program to automate gameplay, it would not be permitted. G15 "macros" which allow you to group different commands into one keypress are allowed. For example, setting your G1 key to press F1, F2, F3 and so on for you with one key press is allowed (although this specific command is not as useful as it was before now that we have weapon grouping).
An exceedingly complex G15 macro which would effectively automate gameplay, such as mining, without a need for the player to be present at his keyboard would be against the EULA, regardless of whether the player utilizing said macro is sitting at his keyboard at the time!
Lastly, multiboxing is allowed, and programs designed for multiboxing in mind which allow a player to manually issue the same command to multiple game clients at the same time are allowed. In the same vein as what has been stated above, the player must be manually sending the commands; if a program is automating those commands for you, then it would be considered a breach of our EULA.
I hope this clears up this matter.

The only problem I found with Synergy was that it would loose communication with secondary computers quite often in EVE.
I've been using Input Director more recently and it's somewhat more reliable (also doesn't seem to lag out as much as synergy did) but even it will lose communication fairly often which is annoying since I do multibox and I hate having to reach up to my second keyboard and mouse to control my secondary accounts.
I think it's an eve voice problem rather than a strictly EVE problem though since it only seems to drop when I'm using Eve voice. when I'm just tooling around doing PVE running missions or what not it's pretty reliable.

Synergy can / will stall connections to other computers if it is doing something heavy with the system - i.e. loading the game

WTF irony ?? you must control your char manually but....you can automate unlimited amount as long as you control 1 .. i've always thought that was macro... IMO maybe should be you manually control EACH account. fck talking in circles jeez reckon i'm just dumb. |

Input Director
Used to use Synergy, but with its development lacking I tried Input Director when I switched to Win7 and I have to say, it's cake to setup and the clipboard actually works!! :)

You'll find ISBoxer is pretty ****in sweet too. I only use it for EQ2 since 2 boxing in EVE with my laptop is relatively easy, but ISBoxers is pretty sweet.

I considered Isboxer but the setup sounded like kind of like a pita. Then I saw a post about Input commander and tried it since I don't need/want all the extra crap that Isboxer can do.
Then again unless I can find a solution to the problems I'm having with Input Director that might be my next step.
