Yes I am aware there are ten thousand and one threads about TEST's TCUs.
But to my knowledge there are no suggestions on this forum about what to do about it.
But this recent TCU scandal has highlighted something thats been going on in EvE.
Timers and downtime.
Now the purpose of a timer in space is to allow response.
You have timers for TCU to allow defenders to rally.
Timers for POSes deployment to allow the POS to be destroyed.
etc, etc
The 30 minutes downtime takes shortens that response time by 30 minutes or less. Thus giving an advantage to those active around downtime.
So I propose we end this once and for all and pause all timers except for skill training during downtime.
For consistency sake, I'd recommend cyno fields and siege modules be effected too.
Though obviously they'd be red cycled by the pilot going offline.
This would overall be consistent with CCPs push to make downtime a less and less important event, pulling another advantage for play around downtime.
and further more why do i even need a sig? |

alarm clocks, aussies, sheep shaggers and asian tz players....moar of them you need.
Want to catch the ninjya installers get up earlier or recruit the tz. Only fair....for the damn US tz ops we stay up late or wake up early over here.

Same could be said about complexes running complexes, and yet CCP made them independent of DT.
CCP has repeatedly said they want to de-emphasize downtime, this is a logical next step.
