So im making an alt to salvage for me while i run lvl 4 missions in my domi and i got to wondering if a myrmidon would do the job better for me than a huricane... Before you call me crazy hear me out, i will be dual boxing so i can salvage as i go so i was thinking why would i need 4 tractors and 4 salvagers when i will most likely be waiting for my domi to kill the next ship so i can salvage it. With the Myrmidon i could warp in after my bs has agro and launch drones to speed up the killing process, or a flight of reppers on my BS while i salvage. It just seems like if im gonna have BC with me it might as well help speed things along witch would result in faster missions and more isk per hour.

You've kinda answered your own question.
I use a Hurricane myself and often release the drones to guard my DPS boat. Since that boat has all the aggro, the drones auto attack every ship in turn.
But I can see how this would go better if I used a Myrmidon.

Yeah i see how i answered myself but im still very new to eve and the most expensive lession ive learned so far is alot of things out there 'seem' like a good idea but really really hurt bad in the end

I use a myrmidon on my alt to salvage, I just fit expanders in lows, large shield extenders, invuln and an afterburner in the mids, and 3 tractors and 3 salvagers. I also fit EM and Therm shield rigs, with a salvage tackle. I think it has around 15k shields and will give you plenty of time to get out if you get agro.
I don't bother with the repair drones I just have a bunch of medium and small combat drones to assist my mission.

For salvaging the Hurricane performs like this:
4 tractor beams, 4 salvagers
2041 m^3 cargo space
360 m/s with an AB fit
30.8k EHP with LSE's in the mids and no rigs
99 dps from drones
The Myrm:
3 tractor beams, 3 salvagers
1718 m^3 cargo space
309 m/s with an AB fit
34.9k EHP with LSE's in the mids and no rigs
238 dps from drones
The hurricane will make the wrecks disappear faster and make less trips to dump off the loot. The Myrm will provide decent dps to assist the other character to make the wrecks faster.
