Edited by: Joe Forum on 04/11/2010 13:53:49 I started an alt and wanted him to do research with Core Complexion. I fleeted with him and flew out to the nearest agent I coudl find, Hakar Ogok. I ran some missions and shared the rewards. After doing 5 of them I checked on the alt but he had received no standings increase with Core Complexion.
I'm getting exactly the same courier mission over and over again, the agent is listed as Security, but the corp does not have a Security division and I can't see him listed elsewhere.
I'm fairly new - is this a bug or is there some other mechanic I haven't understood yet? |

The stSnding is shared. Clear your cache or wait for the cache entry to expire.

This!
If your alt is not in the same system as the agent, there will be a delay before the standings appear on the alt. You can use your main to check your alts standings, or you can logoff and log back on again with the alt to see the standings.
Edit: Why wouldn't you use your alt to run missions directly for that agent? He is L1Q0, so you don't need any standings to work for that agent. The advantage of using your main to run missions is that your main should have access to higher level agents, and those standings gains will then allow your alt quicker access to those higher level agents.

Ah great now I understand.
I was just using my main to do it as I've literally just started the alt (my first) and I was trying to work out all the mechanics of how it would operate with two characters.
Thanks!

if you want to get faction up quickly, just get up to level 3 missions and blitz them. Level 3's give very good faction reward vs the time you spend doing them. The big key is to get multiple storyline missions as they give the best faction reward, and you get those by completing 15 missions. So with very fast level 3's you get good faction in the 15 sub missions, and can do storylines quickly.
