SO I got my money saved up, and wanna get a PC or laptop that'll take FULL advantage of the graphics of Eve, I know the Eve client makes little use of the CPU, and Heavy use of the Video card.
Is 1GB dedicated video memory that you get as standard in many laptops nowadays enough, or is it better to get a PC with a higher than 1GB video memory. (BTW I just wanna play on One monitor and One Window) Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona or content directly related to Eve Online. Spitfire |

Personally it is all personal preference. If you plan on being on the go a laptop can be real handy for that.
Most like desktops as they can be upgraded to help keep full performance longer, compared to most laptops.
Personally I find that desktops tend to manage the heat better than laptops due to their larger size and more internal air volume, and laptops tend to get warm very quickly.
Otherwise it really just depends on what you prefer, portability or better upgrade ability. _____ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. Always ascertain the vintage of the first two.

Okay, I feel this needs to be said...
The power of a video card has nothing to do with the amount of dedicated video memory it has. High amounts of video memory means that more detailed textures CAN be loaded. However, if you have a crap video card, that does not matter at all.
There's a million things that determine how "good" a given piece of hardware is. However, for a rough indication of relative power, check this website.
If you want to maximize power for the price, get a desktop. Laptops are significantly weaker. It will cost you a lot to get a laptop that can run EVE with all graphics settings maxed, and comparably cheap for a desktop.
