Greetingss Brothers and Sisters of Athra: Subjects of the Empire and Kingdom, allies in the Caldari State, and greetings also to the heathens, subhumans, and enemies of God.
For too long "Amarr Victor" has been a capsuleer carrion-call. One of a people romanticizing the past. A people glorifying the victories of those that came before them, while ignoring the failures of the present.
A group of capsuleers far too often doing little other than speak of what -should- be done, from the comforts of stations, rather than speaking of what -will- be done, in space. A people starting to lose purpose.
I am here to announce the formation of the Black Inquisition, dedicated to reclaiming that purpose. Black Inquisition is made of loyalist from the great House Kador, House Khanid, from allies in the State, and more. We aim to set forth into the darkess, and would call all to our banner who would see us as a people return to glory.
To the Faitful you are asked to join us, should you be willing, and should you be worthy.
To our enemies accross the lawless voids whom we will soon visit, you are given the blessing of choice:
Convert, Kneel, or Burn.

*Tablaren wearing the black combat fatigues of the Knights of Kador smiles as he speaks.*
We stand at the forefront of a new dawn. This day we begin combat operations in order to secure a home for those worthy faithful with the willingness to step forward and fight for their fellow bretheren. This day marks the begining of our holy crusade, our push to secure the safety of the innocents and faithful.
It will be neither easy, nor will it be a clean job. It will be a long, hard, and dirty campaign. The dedication of our pilots will be put to the test and those without the stomach will waver and fail. It is my sincere hope, no, my belief that when all is said and done, our glorious deeds shall be a beacon for those willing to brave the horrors of this world in order to prevent those said terrors visited upon their loved ones.
I pray for guidance during these trials, that we may better act on behalf of our faith.
Tablaren out.

Because, the Caldari and other pilots who support the Inquisition are doing God's work. Faith may follow, and I pray it will. But as different light is focused through a crystal to become a laser, so too do our different ideologies come together to burn away our common enemies.

It's a "we'll cross that battlefield when we come to it" sort of relationship.
Incidentally, the Caldari aren't a pack of atheists, Seriphyn: both the ethnic Caldari and the Achura believe in a creator deity (the Maker and the Creator), along with a good array of other deities and spirits, such as Cold Wind. The Caldari as a people are more or less polytheistic; they're just very quiet about it. We Achura are generally pantheistic.

I referred specifically to "our allies in the Caldari State." Not the entire population.
That being said the several races that make up the State are generally harder working, more responsible, and I would even say elevated than the rest of the rabble in the cluster. This thread will mainly deal with alliance business however, I'll leave semantics for the debate halls.

As a member of a dedicated amarrian loyalist organisation, but speaking on my own, and my own only, I condemn this Black Inquisition, another reminder of the obscurantism that has struck the Empire for many centuries. That kind of misplaced Faith only belongs to the uncivilized methods of the past.
With the hope you might reconsider your old-fashion, outdated and narrow-minded ethics. All you will get is mayhem. It is time for Amarrians to behave like true humble servants of God, not arrogant warmongers.

Edited by: Annika Yalen on 05/11/2010 19:58:56 While the Caldari may not usually share the... fervency of Amarrian religion, we respect their dedication and determination to their chosen cause. Think of the Caldari as the Yang to the Amarrian Yin.
Besides, compared to the thugs of the Minmatar and the treehuggers of the Gallente, they're light-years ahead... |

Now it's my turn to say, "Well, yes, but."
The ethnic Caldari god has never been a particularly up-close sort of deity; as I understand it, he more kind of assembled things and just let it all run. Caldari are more likely to leave offerings to their ancestors than to the Maker (presumably because the ancestors, at least, will appreciate the gesture). And then there are spirits, such as the Winds, that are explicitly said not to require or desire human worshippers.
So, as far as I understand it, most Caldari religious practice boils down to lighting a stick of incense to ask the Maker (or whoever) to bless some kind of undertaking, and otherwise not paying much attention. Mind you, if things get tense enough that someone wheels out the Tea Maker Ceremony, things get much more interesting.

Thank you for illustrating my points so well via your whining statements. A perfect example of the current sad state of things for far too many Amarrians.
Lyn here seems to be worried about Amarrians appearing as 'warmongers' and 'arrogant.' We are what we are, and we should own up to our nature. To do less is to deny your own culture and heritage. Take some pride in yourself and where you come from.
Many in your organization however, are made of more stern materials, so I will not characterize your entire organization as being similarly deficient.

You are deliberately misquoting Iwi-haani. What she said was, 'the issue of religion is unimportant.' Her point is that religious tolerance is a strong value in the Caldari State. She was not claiming that our religion is not important to our society. ============================================

Do not confuse our common enemies with ethics. Those are two different things, althought the second one seems to be beyond your grasp.
As you have no need to compare me to the other members of my organization, it could be somewhat insulting to their trust and intelligence. You obviously have no idea of what you are talking about.

If you mean that single, undefended small tower not backed up by anything last month, when the alliance had one corp in it, then no.
Although we technically held sov there breifly, we would not call that an attempt at taking any space from IT. We would not presume to assume that a single small, unmanned POS with no weaponry consitutes an invasion against one of the largest and long-standing alliances in the cluster.
We will make it more clear should this come up in the future.

Mkay. I wasn't insinuating anything. I just remember having to sit for a few hours because somebody was treading on IT's toes or some such thing, we don't usually get told the politics in detail. Good luck in the future then.

Thank you. I merely meant that IT are heavyweights and one doesn't attempt taking anything from them lightly or without meticulous planning, unless they want to fail of course.

This alliance of pro-Khanid and pro-Kador groups elevates the glorious cause of the Amarr beyond petty inter-house rivalry and heralds the dawn of a bright, new future.
I would also put it that even the most simplistic of Caldari nationalists would find it in their long term interest to have a strong Amarr to act as counter-balance to Gallente hegemony

I find this statement, troubling. Perhaps your alliance has someone who could answer a few questions for me?
On general, if it benefits his Majesty's Kingdom it deserves to be noted.
