Hey guys I did some searching on the forums and googled some to try to find the answer to this but I haven't had much luck.
How much tank and how much dps will I need to complete the following solo, and please this is just hypothetical so no flames on how "its impossible to solo". Lets take 2 separate assumptions: 1) Lets say I follow everything properly and set of the triggers one at a time. 2) I pulled a stupid and somehow despite all odds set off all of the triggers and have the full spawn on me. Lets also say I am not so smart and I have max sig radius and I'm not moving around at all so I'm absorbing all damage.
Level 4 mission?
Level 5 mission?
C4 Worm Hole professional site (how much dps will each cap escalation add in?)
C5 Worm Hole professional site (how much dps will each cap escalation add in?)
C6 Worm Hole professional site (how much dps will each cap escalation add in?)
8/10 Complex
9/10 Complex
10/10 Complex
If I missed any anomaly that is a up there that needs above a 1k + tank as well please add it in. Thank you all so much in advance.

for level 4s, around a 300dps tank is good enough (with aggro management and reasonable dps), as for dps: as much as you can do, bigger is better, I'd suggest 400 minimum. one guideline that gets thrown around is dps+tank=1000 as long as both are at least 300, or 400 or something, and anything more is bonus.

Despite your stipulations I'm still going to tell you that C5 and C6 combat sites are IMPOSSIBLE to solo. Probably C4's too, although a pimp t3 might be able to struggle through one of the easier sites.

Thank you for your replies so far, I appreciate all the feeback I can get C4 wormholes are soloable. @ Deathhawk what class wormhole are those statistics you listed on? C2-3 if I had to guess since I know for c5's sleepers can and do reach out and touch you at 250km, they move at about 1000 m/s and they put out a ton of dps.

What the hell would solo tank and break the sleeper RR in a c5 and not bring 6 BS down on its head? |

Trolls GTFO of this thread, and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out
If you aren't going to add to the threads topic then don't post at all, to have the entire spawn on one ship in a WH is possible and DOES happen, but you trolls wouldn't know anything about that now would you? Thats right you don't read any more then to make a failed attempt at w/e you do and you sure as hell don't play the game anywhere near to its fullest extent or even explore something that would pose a challenge. Its not a point of CAN it be soloed, it is a point of WHAT is coming at me and how can I prepare for it.

Dude I dunno who ****ed you mum (ingame) but you state you want to know what it would take in theory to tank e.g. a c5, the guys above me posted some stats and then one claimed a c5 could be solo tank & ganked, which I don't believe any ship can do. As for providing my own numbers, I've repeatedly previously posted that c5 wolf-rayets can be tanked in an AB Daredevil with 2 guardians support (and there's few sane ways to fit those ships for that), so there's plenty of info out there for you if you search. Also I'm never going to claim people aren't complete ******s and triggering all spawns at once or having it done to them as an attacker might try.
Please come into wormholes, you clearly have not a ****ing clue and possibly plenty of isk to be seperated from, which incidentally is something me and my corpies do every day with all sorts of shiny pimped ships, like many others. |

This thread is a good idea, but you realize your dps tank numbers are pointless because of the effect of a ship's speed & sig radius on actual tank needed - right? A BS in a C3 is going to need way more tank than a T3 doing the same C3.

Troll GTFO
I dare you and your corpies to go into a c5 wh or a c6, then warp out to anything other then grav. or ladar site and see what happens to your shiny pimped ships. I highly doubt you know enough about wh's to know but I can tell you that you will go pop very very quickly and they will continue farming their wormhole.
C5's can and are solo tanked by Dreads and Carriers in corp run wh's. Secondly in some sites such as magnetometric and radar sites where if you go to open the box there is a spawn triggered by that attempt and all spawn will focus on the person opening the box. How much tank is that person gona need to have to hold out, NOONE said it was only 1 person doing it all, solo and hypothetical probably to get around long explanations for different things that most of you wouldn't understand. Yes sure u can do a ****ty frig and have it open the box for us and let it die but what if u don't want to? Second when setting limitations as to who in what ship can go into a wh you gota have tank amounts and dps amounts down. Not just "I know me and my 3 buddies in our current ship can do it just fine".

Christ, do you think c5 and c6 anom runners are safe from ganking or something? You think people don't bring their own RR and ECM to deal with the gang running the site plus those sleepers which scramble once they want out? And armed with that RR and ECM, you think people don't bring Bhaalgorns, T3s, etc to the party?
Never said a c5 couldn't be just tanked solo by a single ship, but it can't be run by one. A dread won't hit ****, and a carrier dps relies on... drones... vs sleepers... An insanely pimped tengu or NH or something with ganglinks running elsewhere might again tank it with just that 1 ship in the site, but can they then break the RR to get out again?
As for numbers being better to have than specific ship combos, every ship has a different sig and speed which are key factors in tanking such sites, so your numbers don't work or you have many varients for different ships & fits, making the numbers useless and the fits key.
And septu, you do see the irony in talking about taking no risk and then asking others to provide these numbers rather than finding out yourself, right? |
