With the Dust Settleing from probably one of the biggest fights in the history of eve so far I on behalf of the JQA wish to thank all involved.
The whole thing was laggy & frustraiting at times but there was no Smak talk & no whining from either side.
JQA wish to especialy thank thoes who offerd or gave assistance from throuought the EVE universe it was much apreciated and helped morale immensely. For such a small & insular aliance we realy didn't expect it.
Hats off to supremacy & co too they were well organised and a pleasure to fight against.

Edited by: Kikapu on 08/01/2005 11:50:04 Was fun, indeed! Let's hope we soon get fleet battles of same size with no lag. -------------------------------------------------------------- Making a new char picture will not work on the forums. The payment, however, does. |

To please the forum moderators, and casual readers by not creating a new thread on the topic:
On behalf of the 3rd Front Alliance;
To all xCA pilots: Thank you for a week in the grinder, so to speak. Immense amounts of fighting (still guerilla warfare, scattered through lower syndicate), a minimum of smacktalking, and massive fleets. While many things can be spoken negatively about fleet warfare in the current state of things, none can refute that, once it works, it's a rush like nothing else in the game. For all the good fights, for the fun of it, and for all playing along to make it epic: Thank you.
To JQA, XETIC and NORAD, plus the others who, in their own way assisted us in Lower Syndicate against xCA: A heartfelt thank you. Fighting against what seems to be an ever-growing horde of bloodthirsty pilots, things can get pretty bleak pretty fast. It is in those times of darkness you will know the value of your actions, when you find if yuor friends will come to your aid, when you need it. And they did. So..Thank you, again.
To the intrepid reporter (+unsettling jovian) for showing up in PC9-AY to inquire about what was happening: Thank you. It _was_ a morale boost, and TeamSpeak after the visit might as well have been straight quoting from Spartacus/Braveheart. An incident that make people say "Okay, we will go out, and probably lose our ships, but we don't care - this is our home!" must be said to have touched something in us.
To all the onlookers: We had fun. I hope the show put up entertained you as well.

nearly what our comander said but he said something along the lines of "Sod it, we've waited enough lets go kill them, even if we do die to lag. Its a risk I'm willing to take."

hehe i remember thinking it was suicide jumping in on you the 2nd day of major fighting. I remember people saying on TS, "screw it, we lose our ships we can go mine and get rich later, lets jump in and have some fun even if we do lose our ships."

Aye. Was good fun all around, if a bit 'daunting' at first to a part-time/casual PvPer. Once into the thick of things tho, it was quite fun and interesting to take part of. I'm just disappointed I couldn't make the second big fight (the lass would have killed me!!).
Good fight all around. Both sides fought well with no smack-talk...just straight up combat.

Their object: to kill ships.. they prolly killed more than we did, so they won
Our object: to defend our space.. we're still here so we won..
Like the man said.. depends on your definition of winning.
As for us outnumbering them 3-1, LMAO frankly. I would have loved to have been able to outblob them like that, but it didn't happen. sometimes we outnumbered them, sometimes they outnumbered us.. I would say generally the numbers were fairly even.

I have been in every engagment and have not seen us close to even numbers except for once for about 10 minutes in a three hour battle then it was closer to 2 to 1 and jqa had mostly all bs's. Not smacking here simply stating facts. We do not have the numbers as the three plus alliances going against us.

Ok, let's just agree to disagree on that point then, otherwise this will just turn into another flamebait post.

yeah was definately an excellent fight, numbers are always changed with bias between sides, change during the battle, and also always provide a form of arguement, so best to avoid them.
yeah without a doubt Jqa+3rd took heavier losses, we often did outnumber, but we were not there to provide a fair fight, we were not there to provide fair numbers, we were there to prevent xCA forces getting into our space, this was accomplished, with losses, but none the less we are still here. We have gained so much experience, that xCA forces really have done us a favour, it will certainly help us to be better at repelling anyother forces that come with the intention of more than just picking up some kills.
But over the last week thanks to EVERYONE involved with the fighting.

i agree with u rich. You were there to protect your space and to that i salute you and your members courage and of course you would want to outblob us, you wanted to keep your home and i can see the importance of making the numbers. It was a refreshing change to have our foe go toe 2 toe and slug it out and only back down when they knew they werent winning the fight. JQA/3Rd can take great credit for your endeavour to keep us out. We came to kill and you came to keep your home and that made for an outstanding couple of nights of real fighting. I look forward to our next meeting, when ever it comes along, and wish u guys all the best for the future in what you do heidbanger

Bring it ;)
Now you know we bite back, and I think we have shown we can also hold our liquor, hehe.
VOTF and LFC have gone toe to toe in the past, now also in digital form. Take care, until we meet, and I hope you'll still invite us to the next gankathon =)

Was prolly the most fun and expensive fights ive been in fo sho!
Mad props to Supremacy and friends - and also to the JQA guys who stood their ground, i know that a lot of ppl that got involved had next to NO PVP experience at all when they engaged the fleets.
Being pretty much a novice myself, i gained some valuable experience, and lots of lessons learnt. I look forward to the next ones on the same magnitude.

yeah, definately lessons learnt.. e.g when your scanner lights up like a christmas tree with yellow flashy things.. 2 things are apparant. A: you've been called as primary target B: it's time to run like a <insert nasty word here> with your tail between your legs, and warp out
if you actually made it out, it's time to thank the gods of Eve and dive right back in :)
