Edited by: Novarei on 08/01/2005 23:58:18 Not sure if something like this exists, but I was bored at work and not sure which hauler to train to lvl 5, has been very enlightening. The tool shows the cargo capacity of any indy taking into account your skills, you can also specify which kind of expanders to use for the low slots to see how they pan out. Also added a nice little feature whereby it calculates the number of giant containers that can fit in your hold and adds the n x 900 to you total cargo capacity :) If you find any errors or flaws let me know.

I also find it helpful to figure out which expander is best to plough my money into :)

Very useful. You should also put in penalties for using Overdrives etc.

Hey that looks kewl, but could you alter the way it works very slighly so when you select a ship it defaults to the minimum skill you need for that hauler, eg iteron 5 selecting hauler 5 automaticly for ya. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Gave it a quick try with my known hauler setup in there and it calculated it wrong. My Mammoth has 2x 24% 2x21% expanders and it has around 16k capacity, but when i use your calculator i have 19k capacity. If only this was true! I think you may have gone off somewhere working out percentage stacking.

The total cargo space calculates at about 16k, but with the added cargo containers comes to about 19k. Have changed the wording a little to make it more clear :)

what version of firefox are you using, the page is javascript based and does the calculation automatically. I have tested it fine on IE, Firefox and Opera. I would guess that maybe you dont have java installed.

Thanks Novarei, top job!
